S3 Episode 1: Love Is All Around Us

In this heartfelt episode of The Aesthetic Life, we explore love in all its forms; romantic love, friendship, community, and the quiet moments of kindness that shape our everyday lives. April Boyd, L.E. sits down with Janee and Hal Needham, a couple married for 47 years, who share how they knew immediately they were meant for each other and what has kept them deeply connected through the decades. Their story is a beautiful reminder that lasting love is built on friendship, fun, presence, curiosity, and choosing one another every day. April also reflects on her own journey; being divorced, comfortable on her own, yet still open to love. From a memorable Valentine's Day encounter with a stranger who reminded her she deserved to feel special, to working multiple side jobs while temporarily away from the career she's passionate about, this episode is about staying present through uncertainty and noticing love in action all around us. From men thoughtfully choosing flowers, Valentine's cards, and fine jewelry for people they love, to acts of friendship, laughter, and unexpected connection, this episode shows how aesthetics and love share the same foundation: care, intention, presence, and consistency. When we slow down and live with presence, whether love shows up as romance, friendship, a quiet act of kindness, or a moment that makes us laugh... we realize we're exactly where we're meant to be.

   S2 Episode 5: Beautiful, Resilient, and Curious: A Mother-Daughter Skincare Q&A

This episode of The Aesthetic Life podcast is extra special...my 14-year-old daughter, Emma Boyd, joins me for a fun Q&A! She's been seeing all kinds of skincare trends on social media and wanted to come straight to the source (that's me!) to find out what's actually credible. We talk about product hype, teen skincare do's and don'ts, and what I really think about some of those viral hacks. I also share how great it's been having Emma spend the week with me. She's like me in many ways...but one memory stands out: we talk about how she never quit. She kept going until she crossed that finish line...and I like to think she gets that resilience from me. Oh...and during the recording? My favorite little bunny friend showed up outside the window. He's been visiting for the past year, and I take it as a sweet little sign that beautiful things are unfolding...in life, in love, and in this moment. Tune in for real talk, mother-daughter vibes, and some much-needed myth-busting.
