Volunteers, Mobility aids and QI
In celebration of #GreenerAHP week 2025 we had the opportunity to hear about a current project that started collected used mobility aids this week!
Alyssa Davies (Regional Relationship Manager South West, Royal Voluntary Service - NHS Care Volunteer Responders) joins us in this episode to share how her years of experience in the NHS as a therapy support worker, plus experience in health research has given her the skills and interest in carrying out improvement work.
This is a really practical episode, breaking down problems, and embedding a sustainability ethos into day to day work, aiming towards net zero for the NHS.

Coaching for Quality Improvement
In this episode of the AHP QI Podcast, Jo Kitchen is joined by Ann Hill (Personal and Professional Transformation Coach, former Head of Improvement Science at NHSE) to explore the impact of coaching in quality improvement.

Leanna Luxton is the Community Stroke Team Lead for Northamptonshire and Clinical Director for her own healthcare business. As a physiotherapist, Leanna has worked in large teaching hospitals in the UK prior to moving to Northampton and specialised in stroke rehabilitation 15 years ago. Her interests include developing true patient-centred care and provision which she discusses in her widely renowned Tedx talk, service development and leading large-scale complex change projects, role-modelling leading with compassion and collaboration, and she is an active co-chair of the Northampton General Hospital Race, Equality and Cultural Heritage Network.

Co-production: Hilda Campbell on building a kinder, fairer & healthier world
Hilda explores her use of co-production/co-design in the services she has developed and we discuss the value of this in QI projects.
Hilda Campbell has an academic background Social Sciences and a professional background mental health nursing. Her career has involved community development, learning and development, leadership, co-design, and production. With the voices of lived experience and communities she established the Charity COPE Scotland in 1991 wwwcope-scotland.org. Hilda seeks to work with others collaboratively, not competitively, to build a kinder, fairer, healthier world where the people and the planet suffer less.

An Eternal Optimist: Dr Amar Shah's Journey in Leading Quality Improvement.
Dr Amar Shah, the first National Clinical Director for NHS Improvement at NHS England, Consultant forensic psychiatrist and Chief Quality Officer at East London NHS Foundation Trust (ELFT) joins Jo Kitchen and Naomi Burden for a conversation about how he become interested to Quality Improvement, his role as a leader and his optimism for the future of healthcare in the UK.
