Has anyone ever told you that you talk about your mental health too much? Or perhaps you feel like you haven't got a safe place to truly open up? Recently, I was told I was too obsessed with talking about my own mental health and it left me feeling horrible about myself. I hated that I couldn't just "get over" what I had been through, and how others may have been judging me. Why can't I just be "normal?"
Then it hit. I'm not too much, too weird, or too obsessed. I'm learning and I am healing. That takes courage. I have simply just been talking to the wrong people. And talking? Is SO important.

The Guilt That Comes With Grief | The Anxious Girly Podcast
In this episode, I talk about the loss of my close friend and the guilt that I feel for not doing more in his final months. Having to admit that I took for granted the time I thought I would always have with him.
But here's the thing... Punishing myself over and over won't bring him back, and it certainly doesn't take away the years of friendship we had before he fell ill.

One Step Forward, Two Steps Back? | The Anxious Girly
I get frustrated with myself when I feel I should be at a more "healed" stage by now. Then I have to remind myself that it's going to take time, trail and error and a whole load of mistakes.
