About The Army of Drunks

The Army of Drunks Talking Funny Podcast Experience! "We're just getting loaded..." Do you remember the golden age of talk shows? We don't. We were too damn young back then. But we've seen the tapes, and there once was a magical time when both the hosts and the guests "tied a few on" before going on camera to entertain America with things they probably wouldn't have said if they were sober. At the Army of Drunks, we're bringing that drunken time back! Sit back and listen to four inebriated hosts — all of different creative backgrounds — as they interview amazing guests, hash-out the history of cocktail crafting, and drunkenly defend bad ideas like only the shithammered can. Every episode features: A weekly cocktail you can drink-along with at home! A drunken guest who goes way off-topic! Booze News! Drunken philosophizing! Jokes that are still funny even if you're sober! And thinks you only talk about when you're drunk. LISTEN NOW! Piss yourself later! http://www.armyofdrunks.net

2025 Xmas Glögg Show - With the Three Drunk Therapists

Happy Holidays! And why don't you sleigh yourself on over to Matt Shaw's new fortified compound for steaming hot cup of Army of Drunks Swedish Glögg!  This Ikea-sounding hot Swedish spiced wine is our drink this year, and damn, it's is gloggolicious. And our guests are the Three Drunk Therapists -- who are much wiser than those Biblical randos who walked the desert with a fistful of myrrh -- here with real advice for how to survive the holidays. Look for the recipe in our show notes at www.armyofdrunks.net. When I finally get the time to do it.  Christmas has been brutal this year, know what I mean? 2025 Summer Science Show - With Ian McEwan

It's summertime!  And you know what that means: Harvey Wallbangers and evidence-based practiced bolstered mathethmatically-tested methods for interfacing with large language models. Yes, it's our Summer Science Show 2025, and our good friend mathematician Ian McEwan is back to talk about AI -- or "artificial intelligence" as the kids call it -- and dismiss all of our dumb assumptions that we got from watching Terminator 2. We're drinking our favorite retro summer libation, the Harvey Wallbanger, and of course the Grisly's Cosmic Float.  Recipes for both will be in our show notes at www.armyofdrunks.net. I mean, just as as soon as I get around to putting them up. Search for Grisly's Cosmic at any California www.totalwine.com

   2024 Christmas Apology

It's that most drunkerful time of year, and this season the Army has officially become your deadbeat dad!  Yeah, we didn't have time to do a show this year. As a way of making it up to you, we are redropping a couple of ancient chestnuts down your chimneyhole in the form of our original Eggnog and Hot Toddy shows from TEN FRIKKIN YEARS AGO!  Consider it a regift.  Sorry.  Hey, maybe if our boss hadn't been breathing down our necks, or your mother hadn't kept naggin' and naggin....
