But rest never lasts long in Ashspire. The company pushes north through unexplored passages, where brackish water rises around their legs and the flooded halls reveal a grim discovery: the bodies of their missing allies floating silently in the murk.
Something killed them.The first answer emerges from the darkness—a hideous sea hag whose terrifying gaze leaves several adventurers reeling and sends Lin of the Whispering Wind unconscious into the water. Yet killing the hag only reveals the greater danger lurking beneath their feet.
From the depths rises a monstrous crustacean abomination, armed with crushing pincers, writhing tentacles, and terrible mandibles. Hachiro and Thog are dragged beneath the surface. Lira is caught in its grip.
