Making a Difference: Downtown Women's Center & The Avanti Woman Christmas Kindness Campaign
In this episode, the Downtown Women's Center's (DWC) Director of Institutional Giving, Angela Fisher, joins us to discuss the impact of The Avanti Woman's 6th Annual Christmas Kindness Campaign. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we raised $2,825 to put towards ending women's homelessness in Los Angeles County. Male Breast Cancer Happens: Shattering Myths with Bret Miller
In this episode, we are joined by breast cancer survivor Bret Miller and his mother, Peggy Miller. Bret first discovered his lump at just 17 but faced a long and challenging journey to diagnosis, which didn’t come until he was 24. Join us as they share their experiences, highlight the stigma surrounding male breast cancer, and discuss the importance of awareness and early detection.
Together, we aim to break the silence and encourage open conversations about breast cancer in all genders.
