In this powerful and heartfelt message from Philippians 2:1–11, we learn a revealing a life-changing truth: True Christian unity isn't achieved through our own efforts—it flows from the humility of Jesus Christ.Through personal vulnerability, biblical truth, and a passionate challenge to the Church, we are reminded that following Jesus isn't about proving we're right, defending our status, or elevating ourselves above others. Sermon - Pastor Tim Johnson | Acts 2:42
What does it really mean to be changed by the gospel?
In this message, we are reminded that Jesus doesn’t simply save us from sin—He is continually shaping us to become more like Him. God’s love and His transforming work are not opposites; they belong together. We are fully loved, fully forgiven, and still being made new.
Looking at the early church in Acts 2, this sermon challenges us to rediscover a life of true devotion: devotion to God’s Word, prayer, community, mission, and one another. Following Jesus requires more than belief—it calls us to surrender, obedience, and a willingness to let the Master continue His work in us.
If we want to see renewal in our lives, our church, and our city, we must keep trusting Jesus, depend on the Holy Spirit, and commit ourselves to becoming a people who live for the shalom of our neighbors and the glory of God.
