Ch. 13: Here’s Your Meat, Lion Boy (A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J. Maas)
War is over! And now it’s time for the Beauty and the Beast Christmas Castle Special! A pointless, fluffy… exhibitionist (in more ways than one) novella–er, at least that’s what a lot of reviewers think. But what do the girls think? Is the fluff exactly what the readers need after the trauma of ACOWAR? Are the Easter eggs able to bridge the gap between books in a meaningful way? Tune in for lots of opinions, surprise guests, and childhood bat lore.

Ch. 12: Quintessential Pookie (Tarnished Empire by Danielle L. Jensen)
Pookie is looking absolutely fire in today’s episode. This week, the girls are discussing the Dark Shores series novella, Tarnished Empire. The readers meet new characters (again…) like the token funny friend, Agrippa… and even see some familiar faces (thank the gods!) like resident broody boy, Marcus. The question we all have now is, “when is Valentine’s Day?” If you know, you know.

Ch. 11: Speaking of Page 666 (A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas)
This week there is a lot of questionable material. Robin doesn’t care about Rhysand, Hannah wants to shake Robin by the neck, both girls dabble in Tamlin sympathizing, daddy issues, and there is some personal beef with that page… you know the one (it’s in the title). And, wait… is that… Rascal Flatts? What is going on?

Ch. 10: I’m Going Insane, I Feel Like a Prisoner (Ruthless Vows by Rebecca Ross)
This week, Hannah takes Robin on the journey through the second half of the Letters of Enchantment duology– Ruthless Vows. Y’all know how both girls feel about Divine Rivals after listening to Ch. 8, but will this book be the redemption this story needed? From the things she liked, to the things she didn’t… is Hannah able to convince Robin to finish the series?

Ch. 9: Hi Tamlin, I’m Depressed (A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas)
On today’s episode, the girls take a journey to the depths of the mental health well, and they are working for that fake degree. Is it ok to give this book to your child for their 7th grade book report? Can they decide whether or not Tamlin is a respectful lover? What about Feyre’s battle of belonging? Her post traumatic stress disorder? How she grapples with her ability to pour her soul into her art? Yeah, probably… don’t give this to your 7th grader.

Ch. 8: ***** and **** (Divine Rivals by Rebecca Ross)
Hey, quick question– is BookTok a problem? If you’ve ever wondered what Hannah and Robin’s Roman Empire is… it’s Divine Rivals. This week the girls are (unapologetically) discussing the book that they could quite literally not get out of their heads– and not in a good way. Romance, war, gods, death… and a couple wyverns here and there? This book has quite the following, but not by these two.

Ch. 7: I’m Amarantha! Curse! (A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Mass)
The girls have a confession to make: They are friends with Savannah, a Tamlin sympathizer… and they invited her on the podcast as their first ever guest to discuss THE book of the century: A Court of Thorns and Roses. It’s not often you encounter someone who loves the man everyone grows to hate. But with a pair of rose colored glasses, and some hot takes, will Savannah convince the girls to see the good– even Under the Mountain? These three are holding hands and winnowing straight into some heated conversation.

Ch. 6: I Know What a Scalpel Is! (Outlander by Diana Gabaldon)
Romance, historical fiction and… sci-fi? Robin takes the mic this week discussing book one of her favorite series of all time, Outlander. Is this story too much of an investment? Is an eventual 1,400-page novel too daunting? Is the romance too much, or just simply not relatable to the modern person? Will she convince Hannah to pick up this book and actually finish it? Join the girls as we dive into this cult favorite.

Ch. 5: It Made Me Have a Brain Cell (Dark Shores & Dark Skies by Danielle L. Jensen)
Yo-ho, yo-ho, a pirate’s life… or is it? This week the girls are talking about the first two books in the Dark Shores series– Dark Shores and Dark Skies. These characters are about as complex as this fantastic political world. Whose team are you on? Team Marcus, or Team Killian? Are you a Teriana or a Lydia? This conversation is high seas… and high stakes.

Ch. 3: Off-Put by Suffering (The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah)
This week, the girls are discussing The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah, a World War II historical fiction. How much suffering and sadness in a story is too much? Is Isabelle reduced to a stereotype because she found love in a time of war? Does Vianne suffer more than her sister, even though their stories end so differently?

String theory, world-building, killing off comfort characters, Hunt Athalar’s lack of personality? Is the Crescent City series worth the hype? Grab a snack and settle in– this conversation cuts deep.
