Think of it like this:
A conversation between Jesus and a teen (or teens), spoken in a language our hearts understand
Simple. Relatable. Real.
The stories are creative, but the truth is real. Everything is guided by and through scripture. You may not hear exact verses quoted, but you’ll feel the Word in every moment as we walk through each book of the Bible through the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit. Because the Bible isn’t just a book. It’s alive. And Jesus is still walking through it today, with us — Because Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever!

Genesis- The Generations
In this powerful episode of The Basic With Jesus Podcast, we journey through Genesis chapters 4, 5 and 6, exploring the first generations after Eden. Two distinct legacies unfold—Cain’s line marked by pride, rebellion, and violence, and Seth’s line marked by worship, faith, and a desire to walk with God.
Over 1,600 years pass from the fall in the Garden to the Ark and the Great Flood—years where darkness grows louder, but God’s voice never stops speaking. Through creative, Spirit-led storytelling, two teens walk with Jesus and discover that even in a world forgetting God, some still remembered. From the pain of Cain’s jealousy to the faith of Enoch who walked so closely with God he was taken, we see that legacy is built not in perfection, but in obedience.
The episode ends just as episode 1 did with hope—continuing our introduction of Noah, a man who found favor with God. As the flood nears, a door is built… not just of wood, but of mercy.

Genesis- In The Beginning
Step into the beginning — not just of the Bible, but of your identity.
In this first episode of The Basic With Jesus Podcast, we don’t just read Genesis — we walk through it.
With Jesus.
And two teenagers who feel lost in a world that’s loud with lies.
A boy who doesn’t fit the mold.
A girl exhausted by beauty standards she can’t keep up with.
And a Savior who meets them — and you — right in the middle of it all.
Through storytelling soaked in scripture, this episode gently unpacks Genesis chapters 1–3.
You’ll hear creation come alive.
You’ll see your reflection in the ache of feeling “not enough.”
And you’ll watch Jesus speak identity over confusion, truth over comparison, and peace into a world trying to redefine what God already perfected.
This isn’t a just another Bible study.
It’s not a sermon.
It’s a conversation with Jesus — woven through the Word — spoken in a language your heart understands.
So take a step of faith and walk with us from darkness to light, from doubt to devotion, from formless to filled.
Because you were never just created —
You were chosen.

Basic With Jesus: Introduction
Each episode of The Basic With Jesus Podcast is rooted in scripture — but we’re not just reading verses word for word.
Instead, we’re walking through the Bible in relationship with Jesus.
You’ll hear stories about teenagers — real struggles, real questions, real life.
Some feel lost. Some are angry. Some are pretending everything’s okay. And some believe they already know everything about Jesus.
But in every story, Jesus shows up.
And when He does, we walk through a book of the Bible with Him, letting His character, His words, and His heart shape the conversation.
Think of it like this:
This isn’t a Bible study.
It’s not a devotional.
It’s a conversation — between Jesus and a teen (or teens), spoken in a language our hearts understand.
Simple. Relatable. Real.
The stories are creative, but the truth is real.
Everything is guided by scripture.
You may not hear exact verses quoted, but you’ll feel the Word in every moment — through the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit.
Because the Bible isn’t just a book.
It’s alive.
And Jesus is still walking through it with us — yesterday, today, and forever.
So whether we’re in Genesis, with a boy and girl confused about their identity…
Or in Exodus, with a boy stuck in his past…
Or in Leviticus, with a teen crushed by rules and pressure…
Jesus meets them in the pages of scripture.
And He walks with them — just like He walks with us — through their story.
This is The Basic With Jesus Podcast:
One book in the Bible at a time.
One teen at a time.
The same Savior every time.
So take a breath.
Take the first step.
And let’s walk with Jesus together.
