The Orioles will hit 43 years without so much as a World Series appearance, let alone victory, come this October. And while only one team wins every year, we're reaching Cleveland Indians/Guardians, Seattle, pre-2004 Boston, pre-2016 Cubs territory here. Baltimore fans are loyal and die hard, and yet somehow have been cursed to watch a middling franchise for going on a half-decade. Frankly, watching this team has become a chore, despite the victory today. They win a series, then lose a series, and the cycle repeats. Frankly, it's gotten to the point where when they win, we say, "Who cares?" Is there hope on the horizon? Maybe. But something needs to change, and fast.
