Dr. Joyce Park: How Mental Health Relates to Dermatology & the Pressures of Being a Working Mom
On this episode of The Beauty Manifest, host Melinda - former Sephora Beauty Director, mental health advocate, and professional speaker - sits down with Dr. Joyce Park, board-certified dermatologist and the founder of Kerativ. Dr. Joyce shares her inspiring journey of understanding how mental health relates to her dermatology practice and the societal pressures of being a working mom.
Dr. Joyce Park is a board-certified dermatologist and the founder of Kerativ. She practices at Skin Refinery and is known to millions as @TeaWithMD, where she shares science-based education on skin and hair health. She completed her undergraduate studies and medical school at Stanford, where she graduated with honors, and finished her dermatology residency at NYU. She was also the inaugural Stanford-NBC medical journalism fellow, where she gained experience at the World Health Organization and worked in the medical units at NBC and ABC News. Her work focuses on making medical information easier to understand and apply in everyday routines.
In her clinical practice and through her online community, one concern came up consistently. Hair loss. Patients were often overwhelmed by options and unclear on what actually works. Many were looking for something straightforward, effective, and easy to stay consistent with.
Kerativ came directly from that experience. It reflects how she approaches treatment in practice. Focus on the scalp, use clinically studied ingredients, and keep the routine simple enough to follow every day.

Cheree Ashley: How Beauty & Mental Health are Intertwined & Overcoming Addiction
On this episode of The Beauty Manifest, host Melinda - former Sephora Beauty Director, mental health advocate, and professional speaker - sits down with Cheree Ashley, founder and CEO of Osier Wellness. Cheree shares her inspiring journey of overcoming addiction, shares how she sees beauty and mental health being related, and explores what it means to create influence.
Cheree Ashley is the founder and CEO of Osier. As a prominent figure in the substance rehabilitation industry, I’ve spent the last decade building recovery programs that have helped thousands reclaim their lives. But something I often saw in my clients—and experienced myself—was the deep emotional toll that addiction takes on one’s physical appearance and self-worth. From rosacea, puffiness, and dehydration to the effects of skin picking and nutritional neglect, the journey to recovery can also be a journey back to self-love. That’s why I created Osier—a skincare and wellness brand rooted in balance, healing, and new beginnings.
