Meek and Gentle Resistance, Matthew 5:38-48, August 9, 2026
‘Peacemaking doesn't mean passivity. It is the act of interrupting injustice without mirroring injustice, the act of disarming evil without destroying the evildoer, the act of finding a third way that is neither fight nor flight but the careful, arduous pursuit of reconciliation and justice. It is about a revolution of love that is big enough to set both the oppressed and the oppressors free’
And beloved in a world that is filled with Goodness we still are vexed by a real history of evil and its continued expressions in our world - how do we stand against evil? Fight or Flight? Today we proclaim something big enough to see the oppressed and oppressor free - the Love of God revealed in Christ and that remains good news!

Change the World, Matthew 5:13-16, August 2, 2026
Salt and Light is NOT a rallying call to ‘Change the World for Christ’. Now hear this - it is NOT our job to change the world! Jesus is the Savior of the world -- NOT us! Changing the world is a task belonging to Jesus! Our job is far more modest; our job is to become part of the world changed by Christ!
He is the actual Light of the World - so beloved to be salt and light is to live surrendered to what is actually real and that beloved is good news!

All Will Be Well, Romans 8, July 26, 2026
Beloved the Good News we proclaim is that in the midst of the unending headlines filled with human suffering, harm and pain - God has come to tell a story to weave a tapestry of His Grace - that every detail of our lives is touched by this Grace to tell an eternal story that we have become a part of - this is the mystery of our confession. We believe in a Grace that will make all things work together - so we can say - all shall be well.
