The Birth We Didn’t Plan + Our First Month Postpartum
We planned for a natural water birth, but our birth story took a completely different turn. In this episode, we’re sharing what it was like to let go of our birth plan, choose an epidural, experience an emergency C-section, and meet our son for the first time.
We also get honest about our first month postpartum, including C-section recovery, having my mom stay with us, postpartum anxiety, sleep deprivation, feeding, deciding not to co-sleep at first, and learning how to support each other while becoming Mom and Dad.
This is our honest experience from both perspectives, including the moments that scared us, surprised us, brought us closer, and changed the way we think about birth and postpartum.
