In the new episode of The Blótcast, we take a deep look at one of the most fascinating gods in Norse mythology: Odin – god of kings, warriors, and poets. We follow his cult from the first mentions by Tacitus, through the great sacrificial festivals at Uppsala, to his decline during the Christianization and his rediscovery in modern times.
How did a god of the elites become a symbol that still lives on today – in modern spirituality, Ásatrú, and even in films and series? And what does this transformation reveal about ourselves and our society?

Short and sweet – this episode turned out shorter than expected, but nevertheless, it touches on some important points. On the one hand, we talk about the modern approach to the gods within paganism, and on the other hand about current scientific insights that could bring us closer to the gods.
