Is My Rig Wrecked
Is my rig wrecked? Find out in Is-My-Rig-Wrecked-Bob Davis Podcast 1168. Firstly most of the time my nomad travel experience is bliss. (https://thebobdavispodcasts.com/texas-grit-road-trip-bob-davis-podcast-1166/)
The End Of The World
Secondly when things go wrong it doesn’t mean the end of the world.
Transformation
On the contrary when things go wrong the result can be a transformative experience (https://plato.stanford.edu/entries/transformative-experience/).
That’s what Is-My-Rig-Wrecked-Bob Davis Podcast 1168 is all about.
Travel Bliss
For example I was in the middle of pure travel bliss.
And then I discovered a fuel leak.
Mechanical
As a result I visited the service department at the nearest Love’s truck stop.
Subsequently the service department confirmed the fuel link but said they don’t usually do that kind of work.
After that they recommended Freightliner Truck Service…
On the other hand the Freightliner Service was eighty miles away.
So with a fuel link that was out.
Local Businesses
At length I found a heavy truck service place in Coachella and made an appointment for the next day, Monday. (https://www.yelp.com/biz/beltrans-truck-repair-coachella)
Pleasant Sunday Turned Into A Nightmare
As luck would have it I was spending a pleasant Sunday in the Love’s lot when an 18 Wheeler backed in to one of my doors which was open.
Certainly all the details are in Is-My-Rig-Wrecked-Bob Davis Podcast 1168.
An Accident
To explain, it was an accident.
In addition more than one correspondent on my you tube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@thebobdavispodcasts9768) reminded me these kinds of accidents happen all the time at truck stops.
Heavy Truck Repair
After that I headed over to the Heavy Truck repair…
Spent A Full Week There
And ended up spending a week there.
Door Repair?
Furthermore I had some time to determine the best course of action on getting my door repaired.
Joshua Tree
Therefore I ended up in the town of Joshua Tree, California dealing with a perfectly delightful and highly competent fabricator.
Yes It Can Be Repaired
All in all the truck can be repaired and I have even added a few twists to the original plan.
Maybe Better
To that end the truck might be better than before!
Positive Attitude
All things considered it’s so important to maintain a positive attitude.

[…] For me, I learned more about the United States by being outside of it. But travel in the US, when we came back during the pandemic, all the content was Middle East, Eastern Europe. We came back to the US from Ukraine because I was living there. And I was like, what am I going to do here? I got to keep, I got to keep this thing going. But I know the United States. It's my country. I've been around it. Boy, I was wrong. Oh, it's been so you found a new, a new experience. Five, no, almost six years, head down, constantly exploring, coming into new things, looking at a map and being like, wow, I've seen so little. […]
