Bobcat Strong: The Bobcast is what we like to call a podcast "for the students, by the students" that correlate with our SEL program "Bobcat Strong." The focus of Bobcat Strong is to develop a culture of kindness and acceptance within our school building. While we would love to have a school filled with kindness, we also do this program with the mindset that we are educating our future community leaders and shakers. Each week, the Bobcast assembles a panel of students from the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades who sit down with Weaver & Brothers.
Are middle schoolers really that different from us?
Mr. Smith: I used to be a straight-A student, then I hit seventh grade — and everything changed. Drop a ✨ if you’ve ever struggled to find your way back after a rough patch in school! What I wish I knew back then: Character and how you treat others matter more than grades or popularity.
Your grades can improve, but developing integrity and kindness is what sticks — that's what truly defines you. Thinking about your own middle school journey—what’s one thing you'd do differently?
Maybe it’s time to set new goals, just like Mr. Smith. Because no matter where you start, your future is in your hands. Worth pondering. #GrowthMindset #MiddleSchoolMagic #ChooseKindness #StudentJourney #SelfDevelopment
