2 Corinthians 3 & The Veil that Hides a Fading Glory — Bold Grace Podcast EP16

In this episode, Thani and Grant dive deep into 2 Corinthians 3, unpacking Paul's comparison between the fading glory of the Old Covenant and the surpassing glory of the New Covenant through the Spirit. Should Christians Obey the Law? Q&A About the Law (Pt. 1) — Bold Grace Podcast EP14

In this special Q&A-style episode, Grant and Thani pivot from exposition into exploration—asking some of the biggest questions surrounding how church-age believers are called to interact with the Mosaic Law. Does the Old Testament law still reveal God’s moral will? What does it mean to live by the Spirit rather than by the Law? Are Jesus’ commandments the same as the Law of Moses? And how should we apply “all Scripture” in 2 Timothy 3:16 today? Grant unpacks these questions with theological clarity and pastoral insight, building on themes from previous episodes in Romans, Galatians, Ephesians, and Colossians. 📩 If you’ve enjoyed our study on the Law, have questions, or want to support Grant’s ministry, reach out at grant@boldgrace.org (mailto:grant@boldgrace.org). Exodus 19–20/Hebrews & The Mosaic Law as God's Concession — Bold Grace Podcast EP11

In this episode, Thani and Grant explore a profound and often overlooked aspect of biblical theology: the idea that the Mosaic Law was not God’s original "Plan A." Instead, they argue that grace has always been God's intention, and the law served as a temporary measure that created distance between humanity and God. The discussion centers around Exodus 19 and 20, where Israel's reluctance to ascend Mount Sinai led to a mediated relationship with God rather than direct access. Grant draws powerful connections to Hebrews, showing how the New Covenant restores the intimacy and boldness that God originally intended. This episode is a deep dive into the nature of the priesthood, positional sanctification, and the freedom believers now have to approach God directly. If you’ve ever struggled with understanding your place in God's presence or felt hindered by legalistic barriers, this conversation will bring clarity and encouragement. 📩 If you’ve enjoyed our study on Exodus and Hebrews, have questions, or want to support Grant’s ministry, reach out at grant@boldgrace.org (mailto:grant@boldgrace.org). Philippians & Deference amidst Church Conflict — Bold Grace Podcast EP10

In this episode, Thani and Grant dive deep into the book of Philippians, exploring Paul's primary purpose in writing the letter. While many view Philippians as the "book of joy," Grant unpacks how its central theme is actually resolving conflict within the church through humility, unity, and a Christ-centered mindset. They discuss how Paul builds his argument around the conflict between Euodia and Syntyche, using Christ’s example of humility and Paul's own personal sacrifices to demonstrate the heart posture believers should have. Along the way, Grant highlights key Greek terms, explores some translation nuances, and connects Paul's teachings to broader theological themes found in Ephesians. The conversation also touches on the modern application of these principles—how believers today can handle personal conflict, embrace a mindset of service, and rejoice in Christ regardless of worldly circumstances. Thani shares his own reflections, drawing from his personal experiences in missions and trials, emphasizing that, in Christ, we truly cannot lose. 📩 If you’ve enjoyed our study on Philippians, have questions, or want to support Grant’s ministry, reach out at grant@boldgrace.org (mailto:grant@boldgrace.org). Romans & Christian Liberty — Bold Grace Podcast EP2

Welcome to Episode 2 of the Bold Grace Podcast! In this episode, Grant and Thani dive into the cultural and theological tensions between Jews and Gentiles in the first-century Church of Rome—a division that inspired Paul’s letter to the Romans. They unpack the book’s central themes, emphasizing how its profound theology supports the practical goal of unifying these two distinct groups in one body under Christ. The conversation highlights the practical purpose of Romans: fostering unity among believers despite cultural and personal differences. Paul’s theology—often mistaken for being purely doctrinal—is framed within a practical context: addressing divisions and teaching believers to live in harmony, rooted in their shared faith. Grant and Thani explore how these truths apply to modern divisions within the church, particularly cultural and political ones. They draw connections between the first-century struggles of Jew-Gentile unity and the present-day challenges of cultural and ideological divides among believers.
