Daniel 9 - Part 1 the 79 Weeks
End Times timeline
~AD 30–33 — Messiah is “cut off” (Daniel 9:26). Cross, resurrection, Pentecost. Church Age begins. The 70th week does not start.
AD 70 — Jerusalem and the temple destroyed by “the people of the prince who is to come” (Daniel 9:26).
Church Age (now) — Gospel preached to the nations. No prophetic “week” is ticking for Israel. The Rapture is imminent—no sign required (1 Thessalonians 4:16–17; 5:1–6).
1948 onward — Israel back in the land (often linked to the fig tree, Matthew 24:32). Stage-setting, not the start of the 70th week.
Rapture — Church caught up. Restrainer taken out of the way (2 Thessalonians 2:6–8). Still no calendar date.
Covenant confirmed — Antichrist “confirms a covenant with many for one week.” This starts Daniel’s 70th week (Daniel 9:27). (Not a nation being born)
First 3½ years — False peace, temple and sacrifice restored, seals opened, two witnesses (Revelation 11).
Midpoint — Covenant broken. Abomination of desolation. Antichrist demands worship (Daniel 9:27; Matthew 24:15; 2 Thessalonians 2:4; Revelation 13).
Last 3½ years — Great Tribulation: 1,260 days / 42 months. Mark of the beast. Bowl judgments (Revelation 12–16).
End of the week — Jesus returns with His saints (Revelation 19). Armageddon. Beast and false prophet thrown down.
1,000 years — Satan bound. Christ reigns on earth (Revelation 20:1–6).
After the 1,000 years — Final revolt, Great White Throne, new heaven and new earth (Revelation 20:7–21:1)
