Why I started my own digital online record label Clark Recordings
On today's episode of The Brother Timothy Clark Podcast, we talk about my digital online cyber NetLabel, Clark Recordings.
What is Clark Recordings?
Clark Recordings is an internet label owned and operated by Brother Timothy Clark (http://timothyclarkmusic.wordpress.com/), a Blind Christian Singer Songwriter.
The label’s soul artist is the aforementioned Brother Timothy Clark. The label was founded on 10/27/2026 because of the simple fact that he wanted a label but without the restrictions which usually comes with one hence the birth of Clark Recordings.
Brother Timothy Clark is an advocate for Creative Commons (http://creativecommons.org/) music which labels, Digital Service Providers, and aggregators reject. The solution was his own NetLabel where he could do what he pleased and how he pleased with His Music which he owns the rights to which is why he found the out of date music industry to be rigid and a killer of creativity. Thus, he’s in a niche corner of the industry favoring creativity over monetary gains.
Further more, as a follower of the Lord Jesus the Christ, he rejects the “Christian Music Industry.” He believes that we are followers of Christ first and that our music is an act of worship, praise, adoration, and evangelism. He believes that selling out to a major label where you lose your rights would be sin hence his own NetLabel Clark Recordings.
Does Clark Recordings accept Demos?
No, Clark Recordings does not accept demos at the moment as this is a NetLabel for the musical recordings of Blind Christian Singer Songwriter Brother Timothy Clark. (http://timothyclarkmusic.wordpress.com/)
This label exists to promote and to share the music of Brother Timothy Clark, a Blind Christian Singer Songwriter. No other musicians will be considered for the label at this current point in time.

Blind Christian Singer Songwriter Brother Timothy Clark talks copyright and copyleft licenses.
in today's episode of the Brother Timothy Clark podcast, We talk open source licenses, GNU GPL, Creative Commons, and yes, I don't know much of if really anything about GPU as I am a Creative Commons guy but, I strongly support open source licenses and the Some Rights Reserved model over All Rights Reserved.
All Rights sound good until you realize that it's ebbing the flow of creativity. Obviously I do Not support plagiarism. I support work being freely shared with proper accreditation and monetization when applicable.
We talk about how some music aggregators are accepting of Creative Commons here in 2026 and honestly, I think it's about time.

Blind Christian Singer Songwriter Brother Timothy Clark reviews Freecords Music distribution
Freecords Music Distribution, Music Liberation Starts here. That's what they say but, is it true?
Maybe. Then again, maybe not.
The platform offers all kinds of nice features which does look like some very great incentives to use them but, when they can't distribute to their own platform and to DSP's? You shouldn't market yourself then as a distributer if you can't distribute.
That said though, Jamline where you can make music with musicians on the platform, that's totally cool.
You can follow and interact with other musicians so again, very cool.
But, they don't distribute and so yes, I feel that they are very scammy. Could their features outside of distribution be useful? Perhaps and that's why I won't 100 percent call them a scam but, be aware if you do use their stuff outside of distribution because here's the thing, if one part is scammy, the rest of it likely is as well. I am just trying to give them the benefit of the doubt.
Do you have a free aggregator you want my thoughts on and or that you want me to review?
Let me know about them via email.
