Todd Nettleton from The Voice of the Martyrs shares the account of an Eritrean pastor who endured imprisonment. While Todd imagined solitary confinement might offer relief from overcrowding, the pastor saw it differently: being alone meant having no one with whom to share Jesus. Seeing fellow prisoners accept Christ gave meaning to his suffering.
His hardship did not end neatly. He and his wife remain displaced and face an uncertain future.
Nancy and Todd also discuss Christians facing persecution in China, India, and Iran, along with the International Day of Prayer for Persecuted Christians. This conversation invites us to remember those who suffer, recognize their continuing needs, and make prayer part of our daily walk with Jesus.
