[…] So, So those feelings of expressions of love that we would give somebody when they're not there to receive them, that's what it is that we're grieving. So I don't want that feeling in me about my dad to go away. So I don't want to forget that. I don't need it to feel as painful as it does. But I think when we allow grief to do its work in us, we can morph that pain into At least in my situation, I really got to focus on gratitude of the time that I did have with my dad and the investments that he had made into me and my life and how I could carry that forward. And so instead of just mourning, it really morphed into this time of gratitude and joy for the time that I did get to have with him. […]
