The Okema Society for Christian Development turned 50, and Jesse and Landon “Lumpy” Nelson are back to look at a milestone summer! The episode kicks off with a recap of the sixth annual St. Stephen’s community scavenger hunt in Saskatoon before diving into highlights from Camp Okema’s 50th anniversary celebrations.
Jesse shares some of the history behind the formation of the Okema Society. Landon reflects on his summer at Teen Camp and helping lead the Young Adults Retreat, while Jesse recounts a particularly wild overnight storm. Thankfully, Camp Okema lived to tell the tale!
The hosts also look ahead to the Annual General Meeting on November 28 at St. Stephen’s Church, including the same-day banquet, and encourage listeners to get involved with the camp community. Then things take a turn toward the wonderfully questionable as they tackle listener questions about cabin pranks, unforgettable camp smells, meals and songs they'd ban forever, and what exactly they'd do if they came face-to-face with the Moose Man.

S2E1: Teen Camp Recap 2026
We’re back! After a brief retirement, Jesse returns to the Camp Okema Podcast with Landon “Lumpy” Nelson and Anna Cheriyan to recap an unforgettable Teen Camp 2026. From welcoming a huge group of new campers to the Winter Olympics, Murray Point, Narnia movie night, Retirement Home Day, and the glorious return of messy relays, the crew revisits some of the biggest moments from the summer.
We also take some time to recognize the cooks, volunteers, and staff who made Teen Camp happen—including a few familiar faces who are officially hanging up their camp boots.
With a new regular-season and playoff format, a revamped draft, and plenty of storylines to unpack, the hosts break down Team Whitbread’s championship run, Team Mitchell’s impressive resurgence, Team Holmes’ frustrating season, and what the future might hold for Team Morton.
And because no Campaign discussion would be complete without them, the episode finishes with some Campaign nuggets, way-too-early projections, and a “where do we go from here?” outlook for each team.
