Seeking God or Chasing Encounters? | School of Prophets
Are we seeking God—or chasing a spiritual experience? In this Campfire discussion on the Major Prophets, Lily leads us through Isaiah 40 and Ezekiel 1 to explore prophecy, spiritual discernment, and the revelation of God’s glory. We discuss finding comfort in difficult seasons, preparing while waiting on God, and how authentic prophetic ministry directs our attention toward God’s character rather than a messenger’s power.
Ezekiel’s extraordinary vision brings us to an honest question: When we pray, “Lord, I want to see You,” what are we really seeking? As part of our School of Prophets series, we examine our motives for pursuing spiritual encounters and reflect on why discernment matters when spiritual claims and false prophets compete for our attention. Join us for a thoughtful conversation about God’s sovereignty, reverence in worship, and pursuing spiritual maturity rooted in Scripture.

Can a True Prophet Have the Wrong Heart? | School of Prophets
Can someone be a true prophet, speak God’s Word, and still have a heart that contradicts God’s character? How do we discern true prophecy from personal ambition, prejudice, and deception?
In this episode of Glory Campfire’s School of Prophets series, we explore The Precision of the Minor Prophets, examining Jonah 3–4 and Habakkuk 3 to uncover powerful lessons about prophecy, spiritual discernment, obedience, and God’s sovereignty.
Why was Jonah angry when Nineveh repented? Why did Habakkuk choose to rejoice in God despite suffering? And what do their contrasting responses reveal about the spiritual warfare happening within our own hearts?
Together, we discuss the difference between prophetic calling and godly character, the danger of prioritizing prophetic accuracy over people’s salvation, and how to recognize attitudes that can distort prophetic ministry. We also examine what separates faithful prophetic ministry from the self-serving motives often associated with false prophets.
Join this thought-provoking Campfire conversation as we discover that true prophetic ministry is not about controlling outcomes, proving spiritual authority, or seeking recognition. It’s about faithfully representing God’s heart, delivering His Word, and trusting Him with the results.

Prophetic Mentorship: Who Really Gives the Mantle? | School of Prophets
Can someone really pass their anointing or prophetic mantle to you—and how do you discern what is truly from God?
In this Campfire discussion from our School of Prophets series, we explore prophetic mentorship, prophecy, spiritual discernment, and accountability through Samuel and the company of prophets in 1 Samuel 19:18–24 and Elijah’s mentorship of Elisha in 2 Kings 2:1–15.
We unpack the meaning of Elisha’s “double portion,” the importance of prophetic community, and why even spiritually gifted people need accountability. We also examine modern practices surrounding impartation, laying on of hands, sowing seeds for anointing, spiritual fathers, mantle transfers, and prophetic gifting. Can someone activate a spiritual gift in you? Can anointing be transferred or purchased? Does every believer need an Elijah? And how can biblical accountability help us discern genuine prophetic ministry from manipulation and false prophecy?
Ultimately, we discover that healthy prophetic mentorship should never make us dependent on a prophet or spiritual leader. True discipleship points us back to Christ, grounds us in Scripture, strengthens discernment, and reminds us that the Holy Spirit—not a human vessel—is the source of every spiritual gift and calling.
