Episode 25 - Paul Oneid, TRT, Discipline and Fatherhood
Paul Oneid returns to the Capital Strength Podcast to talk about strength, longevity and preparing for fatherhood. Friends since undergrad in 2005, Nick and Paul explore how becoming a dad can reshape priorities, challenge routines and give training a new purpose.
From powerlifting and bodybuilding to adding running and conditioning, Paul shares how his approach to fitness continues to evolve. They also discuss his personal experience with TRT, including the decisions, trade-offs and questions surrounding their use.
An honest conversation about staying strong, adapting to change and leading by example—in the gym and at home.
TRT and peptide discussions reflect personal experience and are for informational purposes, not medical advice.

Episode 24 - Dr. Dave & Coach Lex
Episode 24 marks the two-year anniversary of the Capital Strength Podcast—and the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Capital Strength.
In this episode, Nick is joined by Dr. Dave Maranger and Alexis O’Bryan for a conversation about the past, present and future of Capital Strength. They also share some important news: Dave and Lex have officially become shareholders and partners in the business.
Lex has been part of Capital Strength since its beginning in 2015, while Dave joined the team in 2022. Together, they reflect on the biggest changes they’ve witnessed throughout their respective journeys, including the growth of the facility, the expansion of the team and the evolution of Capital Strength from a traditional training facility into an integrated gym and multidisciplinary clinic.
A major focus of the episode is the new Capital Strength Longevity Membership. Nick, Dave and Lex discuss why the program was created, who it is designed for and what it means to take a proactive approach to your physical health.
Dave shares the clinician’s perspective on regular therapy, preventing small issues from becoming larger problems and helping people remain active before pain forces them to stop. Lex offers the coach’s perspective, explaining how collaboration between coaches and clinicians can improve training, consistency and long-term outcomes.
They also explore what “one team, one plan, one roof” looks like in practice and why combining strength training, physiotherapy, chiropractic care and massage therapy creates a more complete system for long-term health and performance.
This episode celebrates how far Capital Strength has come over the past two years while offering a glimpse into where the business is heading next.
If you want to remain strong, capable and able to keep doing the things you love for years to come, this conversation is for you.

Episode 23 - Paul Attia (Self Mastery, Fatherhood and Living a Rich Life)
In Episode 23, Nick sits down with longtime friend Paul Attia for a conversation about self-mastery, fatherhood, and what it really means to live a rich life.
Paul has a unique background. After studying psychology and competing as a Division I varsity athlete, he spent nearly 15 years as a litigator and criminal prosecutor before leaving law to help lead his family’s business through a challenging period of restructuring and succession. Today, he advises family enterprises across North America, helping leaders navigate the complicated intersection of business, relationships, decision-making, and human behaviour.
He’s also a husband and father of five who has continued to prioritize his health, fitness, and personal growth while navigating the demands of family and business.
Nick and Paul first met through BioSteel in 2012 and reconnect more than a decade later with a very different perspective on success.
In this episode, they explore the challenges facing driven fathers, the importance of presence, raising resilient kids, maintaining your health through busy seasons of life, learning to say no, and the constant need to “cross-examine yourself.”
They also tackle a bigger question:
How do you pursue success without sacrificing the relationships, health, and experiences that make life worth living?
