Goodbye, Brad Scott | The Carb Loaders Ep 15
BREAKING: The Carb Loaders have made a trade, sending Hamish Murphy (holiday) to Venuiatu for the week in exchange for the return of Samuel Fuller and special guest, Harrison Grant.
But Hamish isn't the only one on the move, as Essendon finally pulled the trigger on firing Brad Scott...who is taking the news swimmingly.
This week, the lads chat through the recent changes in coaching at Carlton and Essendon and ask the question of who is the next head coach in line to be fired!
After that, they discuss the controversy around the extra interchange in Pies v Hok and what injury they would least like to experience!

Pendles Record-Breaking Game! | The Carb Loaders Ep 14
The milestone has finally arrived. The AFL has been waiting for this all year...Harley Reid's 50th.
With Sammy away, Fletcher steps in as the designated Hok fan (and only non-Collingwood fan) as he tries to rein in Hammy and Jay's excitement for Pendle's money-making, I mean record-breaking game.
After that, Fletcher and Hammy take over for Tassie Talk - discussing Hok losing Launceston and the Devils losing over the weekend. Finally, they play Wave Length and witness one of the all-time Hamish stuff-ups.

Hey, it's Jay. I decided to do something very silly and get sick and so the rest of the Carb Loaders decided to soldier on without me...including special guest fill in, Harrison!
So I haven't heard the episode yet...but the boys still asked me to write up the bio for it. I wonder what happens - could Hamish figure out how to fly to the moon? Does Sam take off his hat for the first time in Carb Loaders history? Do we get the long-awaited return of Kiwi Korner?
I guess we'll just have to listen to find out.

After a short break while a couple of the boys recovered from the sniffles, the Carb Loaders are back, and just in time for the ANZAC Day Round! An ice-cold Collingwood facing an actually half-decent looking Essendon has Jay and Hamish very scared.
Then the boys complete their 2026 wayyy too early finals predictions, and Hamish's optimism for the Pies is only matched by Jay's pessimism. Plus, are North actually gonna be good? Then, finally, Sam teaches the boys how to play AFL Wavelength.

The Easter Monday game between Hawthorn and Geelong was an all-time classic...and no one enjoyed it more than Sam! Sam breaks down his near-nervous breakdown that came with attending the match, as Jay brings up the ethics behind the "intentional rushed behind."
After that, the boys get into the spirit of Gather Round and discuss some retro jerseys they'd love to see brought back, before playing a round of Red Light, Green Light.

The Carb Loaders...have returned?
After a (non) brief and unplanned hiatus, the carb loaders are back...and we've actually got proper mics this time.
Armed with an actual studio and a new lease on life, Jay, Sam and Hamish (along with Producer Guy, Fletch) are back bringing you their inspiring takes on the AFL.
We cover the recent controversial Tribunal arguments - including Pendle's never wetting his bed as a child and Xerri helping McGrath with his Braveheart cosplay - and Sam relives his recent experience at Marvel Stadium with "cartwheel guy".
After this, we have the long-awaited return of "Cost is Correct" inspired by the recent rises in fuel prices and finally, all the boys rank their top 5 Spider-Man movies of all time.

Who would you pay $110,000 to have dinner with? | The Carb Loaders Episode 6
Hey, we’re The Carb Loaders - three mates who love footy and food a little too much!
Covid-19 has caught up with the Carb Loaders, which forced us to have our first-ever virtual episode of the Carb Loaders. But just because we’re not in the same room, doesn’t mean we don’t have the laughs and fun…we just don’t always have Sam’s mic.
But we begin the episode by chatting about a hard-core West Coast fan who bought a dinner with Harley Reid and Nic Naitanui for $110,000. So it begged the question: who would we pay $110,000 to have dinner with? The conversation quickly became very philosophical (and slightly political) as we listed our perfect “dinner party”...including Harold Holt, Kobe Bryant and Genghis Khan.
Then we brought in a new segment, “The Film Club” where we get inspired by the movie, “10 Things I Hate About You” to create our list of 10 things we hate, where we find out the endless efforts Hamish has made to get Pizza Hut as a sponsor and Sam’s disdain for mashed potatoes.

Cardman22 Tries to Guess Footy Cards | The Carb Loaders Episode 5 with Cardman22
Hey, we’re The Carb Loaders - three mates who love footy and food a little too much!
Today is a historic day for the Carb Loaders, as we have our first-ever guest…Cardman22! Yes, Cardy joins us as we discuss a weekend of footy that was riddled with umpiring controversy and late-game heroics. We discuss the Izak Rankine half-marathon he ran down the wing of the MCG and counsel Sam through the aftermath of the Hawthorn vs Port Adelaide craziness.
Then we chat with Cardman22 about his journey to becoming a Footy Content Creator and hear a little bit about his career ambitions. We also put him to the test to see how many Footy Cards of the last 15 years he can recognise…fair to say, he lives up to the name “Cardman”.
Then to finish, we go to the Taste Test Segment (which we still haven’t decided on a name for) with a cup of milk filled with Cheetos.

Can We Guess the Price of an MCG Meat Pie? | The Carb Loaders Episode 4
Hey, we’re The Carb Loaders - three mates who love footy and food a little too much!
In today’s episode, we celebrate a weekend of wonderful footy, that was capped off with some Harley Reid euphoria, Hawthorn heroics and a Collingwood fan giving West Coast’s Harvey Johnston a pat on the head…and getting banned for 12 months as a result!
After that, Hamish introduces us to his brand new game show - “The Cost is Correct” (which totally isn’t related to “The Price is Right” for any lawyers who are listening) where Sam and Jay try and guess the price of AFL related items, including a Meat Pie at the MCG.
Then to finish, we go to the Taste Test Segment (which we still haven’t decided on a name for) with a plate of Oreos dipped in Dijon Mustard.

What’s the Worst Pre-Game Meal? | The Carb Loaders Episode 3
Hey, we’re The Carb Loaders - three mates who love footy and food a little too much!
In today’s episode, we honour an AFL player that truly embodies the heart of a Carb Loader…Logan Morris. Morris debut for the Brisbane Lions on Sunday Night (hours after playing a VFL game) on the diet of an Angus Burger from Macca’s. This got us thinking: what’s the WORST pre-game meal imaginable?
After that, we introduce a couple of new segments. Sam has a fun logo guessing game that is preposterously favourable towards Jay’s favourite sports over Hamish’s. Then Hamish brings us across the Pacific Ocean for “Kiwi Korner”.
Then to finish, we try Sam’s newest food creation…Milo with Orange Juice

A Coach Broke His Knee During a GAME? | The Carb Loaders Episode 2
Hey, we’re The Carb Loaders - three mates who love footy and food a little too much!
We’ve all seen star players get injured in the line of fire during the game…but have you seen it happen to the coach? Well, the Minnesota Timberwolves did and this led to an interesting discussion on whether you’d rather lose a bench warmer or a coach to an injury.
Anzac Day also came and went without a winner thanks to an anticlimactic draw, but it did hold Jamie Elliott’s potential mark of the year. We chat about the mark, whether the AFL should bring in overtime and how much commentary affects a good mark.
Then to finish off, we live up to the “Carb Loaders” by trying Jay’s Mum’s absurd delicacy…Raisin Toast with Vegemite! And, yes, it’s as disgusting as it sounds!

What’s the Best Sporting Event in the World? | The Carb Loaders Episode 1
Hey, we’re The Carb Loaders - three mates who love footy and food a little too much!
Today we kick-started our brand new podcast with the all-important question…what’s the best sporting event in the world? We each spent many painstaking minutes putting together our list of the top 5 sporting events every year - making sure to keep our Australian bias well and truly present.
We also discussed the AFL umpire's latest botch-up when they let Sam Draper have a nap on the footy in the dying seconds of Adelaide vs Essendon, whether or not there’s really an “Everything is $5” restaurant at Marvel Stadium and Sam’s long journey to Hawthorn vs North Melbourne on a very powerful Lime Scooter.
Then to finish, we begin our journey of becoming UFC experts with the question that plagues every UFC fan…who would win in a fight between Postman Pat and Fireman Sam?
