Five best friends. Three states. One group chat that probably should’ve stayed private. The Chaos Section is where friendship, marriage, motherhood, careers, faith, family, pop culture, unpopular opinions, and everyday chaos all end up in the same conversation. We laugh too loud, overshare regularly, disagree freely, and somehow find something real in the middle of it all. Pull up a chair—you’re in the chaos now.
This week we’re talking family, friendship, forgiveness, boundaries, toxic behavior, who actually deserves access to your life, and why “that’s just how they are” is no longer a good enough excuse.
There are strong opinions, several caveats, a whole lot of blocking, and a few moments where things get very real. Because apparently protecting your peace sometimes looks like forgiveness… and sometimes it looks like hitting BLOCK and carrying on with your day.
Pull up a chair. This one goes there.

2 Pound of Candy Corn and a Hill to Die On
This week we’re taking a break from emotional maturity and arguing about the things that actually matter: candy corn, pumpkin spice, Halloween decorations, mac and cheese, Christmas before Thanksgiving, and the petty little hills we will defend to the death.
There are questionable fall traditions, strong opinions, 75 inflatables, and absolutely no agreeing just to keep the peace.
Pull up a chair. Pick your hill.

7,000 Kids and One Village
This week we’re talking motherhood — mom guilt, being the default parent, doing things differently than the generations before us, and somehow becoming the CEO, taxi driver, calendar keeper, and answer to every question in the house.
There are 7,000 kids, 37 more at Candace’s house, sports schedules, school forms, and a whole lot of gratitude for the women who help us mom when we can’t do it all ourselves.
Pull up a chair. It really does take a village.

5 Rolodexes and a Winnebago to Area 51
Y'all, grab your coffee and your tinfoil hats because the group chat has gone full conspiracy mode. This week we've got aliens at Area 51, Bigfoot sightings, haunted houses, mysterious mattress stores, and enough rabbit holes to keep everybody's search history looking suspicious. Somewhere between two coffees, five imaginary Rolodexes, and planning a girls' trip to Area 51 in a Winnebago, we get into the real question: can you tell your best friend she's gone completely off the rails and still love her through it? Pull up a chair — just don't ask who might be listening.

107 Takes and Serious Oversharing
Apparently it only took us 107 tries to get the opening right, which feels like a strong start to an episode about what probably shouldn't be put on the internet. This week we're talking Facebook diaries, community-group grievances, shared couple accounts, report-card oversharing, staged spontaneous reactions, and the very important question of whether your spouse's nonsense belongs online, in the group chat, or six feet under. Somewhere between wicker balls, a full bee suit, and a reminder that screenshots live forever, we get into the real stuff: whose story is yours to tell, what our kids deserve to keep private, and why peace and privacy start looking a whole lot more valuable after 40. Pull up a chair - but maybe keep this one off the front porch.

3 Days to Text Back, 24 Hours to Go Missing
Apparently friendship after 40 requires grace, boundaries, a functioning group chat, and the understanding that you get approximately 24 hours to disappear before somebody starts checking for signs of life. This week we’ve got HOA violations, 34 suitcases blocking front doors, a forgotten ice cream stand, and an overheating laptop literally being treated with an ice pack. Then we get into the real stuff: keeping friendships alive across three states, knowing when a friendship is worth fighting for, recognizing when one was only meant for a season, and deciding which friendship behaviors are red flags versus reasons to give a little grace. Pull up a chair — your people should fill your cup, not drain it.

20 Years Ago Was the 2000s
Apparently 20 years ago was the 2000s, and frankly, we’d like to speak to management. This week we’re revisiting the things our childhood gave us — low-rise jeans, microscopic eyebrows, frosted blue eyeshadow, boy bands, Blockbuster, MySpace top eights, and AIM away messages — and deciding what deserves a comeback and what needs to stay respectfully buried. Somewhere between Ethel the sourdough starter needing prayer, laundry crimes, pumpkin spice arriving entirely too early, and several deeply held unpopular opinions, we also get into the real stuff: standing up for yourself, owning your mistakes, and why being “the bigger person” doesn’t mean becoming everybody’s doormat. Pull up a chair — preferably one that survived the 2000s.

14 Pumps and a Pro-Con List
This week, the group chat has officially spilled into the podcast. We’re talking back-to-school chaos, who’s most likely to get arrested, who’s bringing the bail money, and why Kayla’s coffee apparently needs 14 pumps of sugar and a prayer. Then the unpopular opinions start flying — Hocus Pocus slander, black coffee supremacy, fireworks, cabbage soup, and enough childhood fear to keep a therapist booked solid. Somehow, we land on the real stuff: why adult female friendship shouldn’t feel like a competition and how to love your people even when their opinions are deeply, deeply wrong. Pull up a chair — preferably with a pro-con list.

Episode 1: Pull up a (wicker)chair
Welcome to the group chat — unfortunately, there’s no leaving now. In our first full episode, we’re telling the story of how five cheer moms became best friends, who was strategically adopted into the group, and why apparently nobody had a choice in the matter. From unhinged Google searches and tracking each other’s locations to questionable retirement plans, and an entirely unnecessary deep dive into a man made of wicker, we cover exactly zero topics in a straight line. Pull up a wicker chair, y’all. The chaos has officially begun.

Intro: Welcome to the Chaos Section!
Hey y’all — congratulations, you’ve officially been added to the group chat. In this quick intro, meet the five women behind The Chaos Section and find out how cheer moms in three different states somehow became the kind of friends who know entirely too much about each other. We’ve got opinions, stories, questionable decisions, and microphones now, which feels mildly irresponsible. Pull up a chair.
