12. January was 84 years long
We truly can't believe January is finally over. We all lived like 3 lifetimes last month, right?? Anyway, we're moving on— but not from our Wicked fan theories (yeah, we still won't shut up about the timeline on the blackboard). This week we chat about a fun Superfan Moment of the Week (and a secret one that you'll find our more about later), Universal Studios Fan Fest Nights, and Jacob finally learns how he's been training the TikTok algorithm wrong. We're so happy you're here :)

11. RIP TIKTOK... kinda
Well we've finally reached the point where we're making content about... content. Our eleventh episode covers our opinions on TikTok as well as TikTok's opinion of us! (us meaning millennials and the traits the clock app has assigned to our generation) Oh yeah and the TikTok "ban." Heavy on those quotation marks!
From water shortages to media fearmongering, we also explore how crises are portrayed in the news and on social media and the overall cultural impact of TikTok. Also, Jacob is very passionate about Millennial Gray!

10. Not REALLY a New Year's Episode... Kinda
WE MADE IT TO 10 EPISODES!! We couldn't do it without you (and our producer, Connor) so thank you for all your support!! This episode is a bit of everything, with a few reflections of 2024 and some 2025 goals in addition to our general shenanigans (and a reformatting of our beloved NOT THIS segment. Again, Connor coming THROUGH with the custom music.) From planning a Wicked singalong to embracing authentic content creation, we're all over the place (is anyone surprised?).

The One Where We Went Viral: MORE Wicked Discussions, Comment Section Clap Backs & Disney Legend Superfan Moments
We went viral! Our Wicked theory video hit over 1 million views and and boy has it been a wild journey in the comments. Our AHA! moment about Madam Morrible controlling the weather in Oz, sparked widespread discussion, earning over 47,000 shares and 200 new followers in a week. THANK Y'ALL SO MUCH! Whether you agree or disagree, we appreciate the engagement ;)
We HAD to respond to some of them comments, tho... Jacob hilariously addressed a debate with a fan who brought their 6-year-old into the mix, while Kalen laments (again... seriously she won't shut up about it) on the importance of preserving storytelling magic— aka spoiler culture and why it still applies to this 20+ year old story.
We chat some more about the musical’s intricate storytelling, particularly in Act Two, and predict how the upcoming Wicked movie could address narrative gaps. We also had an epiphany about how the various offshoots of the world of Oz are similar to the Marvel Cinematic Universe such as the multiple Spider-Man reboots, which has evolving cultural significance.
Jacob has an AMAZING superfan moment of the week, involving performing for Disney animation LEGENDS and hearing some truly fantastical stories from our childhood faves like The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast. & of course we couldn't leave you without a special holiday edition of VIOLENTLY MILLENNIAL!
THANK YOU FOR BEING HERE <3

We are AUDIO ONLY this week (get the episode name now?) while we're waiting to finalize the new studio space! We'll see you back on camera in a few weeks :)
I guess our theme of the week ended up being MUSICAL THEATER which is actually perfect as this week is the premier of the highly-anticipated Wicked film! Tune in for musical theater fan moments and some Violently Millennial debates, as ALWAYS.

6. SAY GOODBYE TO THE STUDIO! | Halloween Horror Nights, Chappell Roan vs. Paparazzi and WICKED Movie
WE'RE MOVING!! Well... Jacob and Connor are. So for our last episode in our OG studio, we covered a little bit of everything!
We discuss Jacob's first trip to Halloween Horror Nights (and his theater kid screams), more "Childless Millennials in the News" (or in FB rants from angry Disney parents), some recent pop culture moments from one of the stars of the new Wicked movie, Cynthia Erivo, as well as juxtaposing recent Chappell Roan paparazzi and Tom Holland paparazzi moments.
In this week's Violently Millennial segment, we're talking internet habits (do you know what a "big screen purchase" is?) and how different generations use emojis, gifs and more.
As always, thank you so much for watching and we want you to join the conversation with us! Like our video and subscribe to our channel, then weigh in on some of these topics in the comments! We are just two people yapping and we love hearing your perspectives on these topics. Thanks, y'all!

5. We May Have Made Patti Lupone Angry... Halloween, Agatha All Along, Musicals and more!
Welcome back! We maaaaaay have upset the living ghost of Patti LuPone... we were talking about her and the power went out. Oopsieeeee! But no worries—we figured it out. (sorry for the audio quality!)
Jacob and Kalen start with some Halloween season madness, from early décor shopping to Kalen’s misadventure at Disneyland, which involved a mobile order, a twisted ankle, and a trip to urgent care. (Zach, you were a real one through it all.)
In our “Not This” segment, we unpack Patti LuPone’s MCU shade during a red carpet interview. What the heck, Patti? We compare her response with the positive attitude of Debra Jo Rupp and talk about the creative value superhero movies bring to pop culture.
La La Land debate alert! Is it a musical or not? We break down the film’s mix of diegetic and non-diegetic music, defend its storytelling, and compare its backlash to the Frozen phenomenon. Plus, Jacob reflects on how blockbuster superhero movies now serve as escapism in the same way musicals once did.
What do you think? Is La La Land a musical? Are superhero films the new theater? Let us know on Instagram! And don’t forget to rate and review us on Apple Podcasts.
