Sabiqa aur Maujuda Musalman Ummatun ka Mazi, Haal, aur Mustaqbil

This book is based on ideas Dr. Israr Ahmad published in 1993 in the columns of the Urdu daily Nawa-e-Waqt of Lahore. The series of write-ups ran for several months and captivated a wide readership. After minor editing, the complete material was published as a book in October 1993 under the Urdu title Sabiqa aur Maujuda Musalman Ummatun ka Mazi, Haal, aur Mustaqbil. It was later rendered into English as "Lessons from History: Reflections on the Past, Present & Future of Two Muslim Communities" (https://www.theonlywayoflife.com/lessons-from-history/) and has since been reprinted many times in both languages. In this work, Dr. Israr Ahmad divides the 1400-year journey of Muslims into four distinct sections. He also delves into 2000 years of the history of prior Ummahs like the Jews and Christians. He explores how these past nations experienced cycles of rise and fall, and, crucially, how we, as existing Muslims, can learn from their experiences to avoid repeating their mistakes. This book is highly recommended for anyone interested in the rise of the Muslim Ummah (https://thechoice.one/unity-in-the-muslim-ummah/) and eager to learn more about Muslims and Islam. Dr. Israr Ahmad also predicted the Islamic caliphate system that he believes will eventually dominate the world. If you want to understand the rise and fall of Muslims through Dr. Israr Ahmad’s unique perspective, this book is definitely for you. Winning Our Children Back to Islam by Dr. Jeffrey Lang

Is Islam really the fastest growing religion? If so, then where are the Muslims and why are our Mosques sitting empty on a daily basis (besides the role call, obligated Jum’uah crowd)? There is a phenomenon happening in the Western Muslim communities and beyond that we are either ignorant to or just plain ignoring. We are standing on the edge of a very serious crisis and this is a crisis of Faith. We are losing people from Islam faster than we are able to sustain them and the truth is being masked by this dangerous rhetoric being doled out by Shayukh and the general Muslim population alike. Yet, this is not a discussion on where to put blame, this is a discussion on how much we have contributed to this breakdown on a very personal level. This lecture is a passionate plea for us to turn our attention to the matter at hand. We are too busy creating cliques at the Masajid, making it a club for our own Nationalistic interests and creating a demeaning class system that goes against everything that is elevated in Islam. Converts, Muslims coming back to Islam and our children are not welcome presences in these spaces. They are less than an afterthought or more than a nuisance. These people are ignored. While we sit in our little groups, these “others” are left to their own vices, their voices drowned out by our laughter, clinking potluck spoons and shady politicking. Our children wander around these spaces without any connection to Allah or His Messenger, observe our thoughtless behavior, and gain or learn nothing of importance, leading them just a little bit further away from the fold of Islam. All while we pat ourselves on the back for a job well done. In the majority, their questions, their needs and their pleas fall on deaf ears, perhaps, not always in an evident way as you would imagine, but definitely in the sense of complacency, indifference, rejection and overall discourteousness. Say, [O Muhammad], "Shall we inform you of the greatest losers as to [their] deeds? [They are] those whose effort is lost in worldly life, while they think that they are doing well in work." Those are the ones who disbelieve in the verses of their Lord and in [their] meeting Him, so their deeds have become worthless; and We will not assign to them on the Day of Resurrection any importance. (The Noble Quran 18:103-105) If we do not wake up and realize that we have a serious crisis on our hands, we will lose this struggle and we will all be responsible. The beginning of this lecture is grounding and heartbreaking. Dr. Lang puts us in the shoes of a Convert or Muslim child living in the West walking into a Mosque using vivid and sometimes quite crude language. It’s shocking, it’s something we already knew and discounted. This is the exact affect he wanted and those, who have any softness left in their hearts or have any real sense of right and wrong, will feel the cut of this double edge sword. This is not a lecture to coddle anyone; this is a lecture to wake us up. The passion exhibited by the good Doctor can speak for itself, Alhamdulillah. If we care an iota for the reality of future of Islam in our countries and the world at large if we continue down this road of obliviousness and can put aside our egos long enough to really see the reality of what our children are facing and becoming, then this is the talk that can propel us into recovering not only the lost, but the majority of the closet Atheists who live among us, some in our own homes without our knowledge, Insha’Allah. We shouldn’t pray for things like Hidayah (guidance and knowledge of Islam), righteous offspring and to join the rightly guided people of Allah SWT in Jannah, if we cannot understand what those things mean, why we ask for them or how they will manifest. Allah grants all these in the opportunities we are granted to change and better ourselves everyday, but if we do not avail these opportunities and we do not under...

The Purpose of Life in an Hour and a Half

This hour and half will be the best that you could invest for the betterment of your intellect and faith. This does not just speak about the purpose of life itself; it speaks about the purpose of Islam, the purpose of the Quran and the Purpose of our desire to seek the truth and redemption. This is a beautiful guide for sincere seekers of Truth! Shaikh Hamza Yusuf on his Sandala blog wrote eloquently about this lecture (https://sandala.org/the-purpose-of-life-in-an-hour-and-a-half/) and what it should mean for a Muslim. He writes: “After listening to his lecture, I have to conclude that Dr. Lang is bold, honest, a truly brilliant and original thinker, and, in reality, a proof of the Qur’an. Let me explain this last statement: while on the one hand, the Qur’an needs no proof, on the other, one of its greatest proofs is that if you do what the Qur’an challenges you to do – to reflect on it deeply – you will arrive at the conclusion that it could not be from other than God.” Please do take the time to listen and to reflect deeply on what is presented. Shaikh Hamza Yusuf ends this entry by saying: “I really believe there are some original insights here worth considering, especially for those struggling with their faith or lack thereof. I hope you will give it a listen. If you do and are tempted to turn it off after a few minutes, you might consider asking yourself how is it that we can so easily get lost in a two-hour film that demands nothing of our intellects and not listen to a former Christian-turned-atheist Ph.D. in mathematics explain how the Qur’an convinced him it was revealed by his Creator.” Definitely a something to consider… Audio / MP3 / Podcast

Islam and the New World Order

Freemasons? Illuminati? Skull and Bones? Conspiracy theories? Secret societies? While neither confirming nor denying these, the speaker (Abdullah Hakim Quick) does shed light on a general “conspiracy” to deceive the masses of the people. In sharing his experiences of traveling throughout the Muslim world, Imam Quick suggests that we live in a very confusing time, due in large part to the tactics employed by mass media. Various means are being utilized everyday to manipulate people’s perception of reality, and thus have corrupted the hearts and minds of millions throughout the world. Unfortunately, many Muslims have fallen victim to this deception as well. This straight-forward talk warns that Muslims must be aware of this conspiracy to establish a secular world order, understand the methods behind it, be on guard against it, and strive to establish the “Islamic” world order. Is the Qur’an God’s Word?

Islam is not the name of some unique religion presented for the first time by Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) who should, on that account be called the founder of Islam. The Qur'an states that Islam - the complete submission of man before his one and only Unique Creator - is the one and only faith and way of life consistently revealed by God to humankind from the very beginning. Noah, Solomon, David, Abraham, Moses, Isaac and Jesus - prophets who appeared at different times and places - all propagated the same faith and conveyed the same message of Tawheed (Oneness of God), Risaalat (Prophethood) and Aakhirah (the Hereafter). These prophets of God were not founders of different religions to be named after them. They were each reiterating the message and faith of their predecessors. However, Muhammad (pbuh) was the last Prophet of God. God revived through him the same genuine faith which had been conveyed by all His Prophets. Since there was to be no messenger after Muhammad (pbuh), the Book revealed to him (i.e. the Qur'an) was preserved word for word so that it should be a source of guidance for all times. Verily, We have sent down to you (O Muhammad (S)) the Book (this Quran) for mankind in truth. So whosoever accepts the guidance, it is only for his own self, and whosoever goes astray, he goes astray only for his (own) loss. And you (O Muhammad (S)) are not a Wakeel (trustee or disposer of affairs, or manager) over them. Unity In The Muslim Ummah

A very important lecture by Dr. Zakir Naik regarding of Muslim’s identity. A Muslim should be recognized as a Muslim or as a label of following madhab (e.g., Hanafee, Shaafiee, Hambalee or Salafee)? What is your Muslim's identity? Watch this lecture to find out your answer according to Quran and Sunnah. And hold fast, all of you together, to the Rope of Allah (i.e. this Qur’aan), and be not divided among yourselves. (The Noble Quran 3:103) Indeed, those who have divided their religion and become sects - you, [O Muhammad], are not [associated] with them in anything. Their affair is only [left] to Allah ; then He will inform them about what they used to do. (The Noble Quran 6:159) And obey Allah and His Messenger, and do not dispute (with one another) lest you lose courage and your strength departs, and be patient. Surely, Allah is with those who are As-Saabiroon (the patient). (The Noble Quran 8:46) Lecture in Audio / MP3 / Podcast

The Purpose of Life (Audio / MP3)

Is our purpose in this world, simply to eat, sleep, dress, work, acquire some material gains and enjoy ourselves? Is it our purpose? Why are we born? What is the object of our existence and what is the wisdom behind the creation of man and this tremendous universe? Think about that question. Purpose of Life is a thought provoking talk by Sheikh Khalid Yasin. Through the verses of the Noble Qur’an, Shaykh Khalid Yasin expounds upon the creation of the universe and this amazing world we live in – and how it came to be. With his logical style of argument, the Shaykh answers these questions with much wisdom. It forces a logical mind to stop for a while and think where we are heading with our lives. Media and Islam: War or Peace

Islam, today, is the most misunderstood religion. It bears the brunt of misconceptions and hate propaganda. The powerful mass media, aligned to deceitful political and corporate interests, spreads these misconceptions virulently… worldwide. While portraying Islam, integrity and reliability are bypassed by the media with professional charm and finesse. Wise and apt Islamic viewpoints are seldom covered in the mainstream media, whereas aberrations by a few misled Muslims are highlighted. Muslims shouldn't overlook the power of the media... there's potential in every medium available these days. The message doesn't come from the medium itself, it comes from the producer. We can change the dialogue by using the same media used to spread evil to spread Islam and to spread the truth, Insha'Allah.
