Jeremiah's Direct Commission from God, the Fall of Jerusalem, and the Great Hope of Lamentations with The Apostle D. Todd Harrison

In this eye-opening Bible lesson, The Apostle D. Todd Harrison examines Jeremiah 30-33, Jeremiah 36-39, and Lamentations 1 & 3, showing how the ministry of Jeremiah stands as a powerful witness of his and of the many other prophets and apostles who received direct commissions from God and not through the Institutional High Priest of the time. The scriptures record that the word of the Lord came unto Jeremiah, calling and sending him forth by divine revelation. Although Seraiah was the Presiding High Priest associated with Jeremiah's day and family, Jeremiah's prophetic calling came directly from the Lord Himself, and not through appointment by the presiding high priest or ecclesiastical/church office. Through Jeremiah's ministry we discover a timeless biblical pattern: God speaks, God calls, God sends, and God holds His servants accountable to declare His word regardless of popular opinion or even in the face of institutional resistance or silence. In this message, The Apostle D. Todd Harrison explores: • Why Jeremiah continued preaching despite ridicule, persecution, imprisonment, and rejection. • The burning of Jeremiah's prophetic scroll and what it teaches about mankind's attempts to silence God's word. • Why King Zedekiah repeatedly refused to obey the warnings of the prophet. • The destruction of Jerusalem as a witness that God's judgments are real and His warnings should never be taken lightly. • The glorious promises of restoration found in Jeremiah 30-33, including God's covenant mercy toward His people. • The difference between trusting in God and trusting in political, military, or worldly solutions. • How Jeremiah remained faithful when nearly everyone around him rejected his message. • The deep sorrow expressed in Lamentations and what it reveals about the consequences of national rebellion against God. • The inspiring declaration of hope found in Lamentations 3:22-23: "It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed... great is thy faithfulness." • Why God's chastening is motivated by mercy and designed to call His children to repentance and redemption. These chapters contain some of the most powerful lessons in all of scripture regarding prophetic authority, obedience, repentance, perseverance, divine judgment, covenant mercy, and the unwavering faithfulness of God. If you have ever wondered why nations rise and fall, why people reject divine warnings, or how hope can survive even in the darkest of circumstances, this message will strengthen your faith and deepen your understanding of God's dealings with His children. Come watch a prophet directly commissioned by God and sent to declare His word to a generation that would not listen.

Jeremiah's Ordination Before Birth as a Prophet to the Nations (Old Testament Jeremiah 1-3; 7; 16-18; 20)

Jeremiah's Ordination Before Birth as a Prophet to the Nations (Old Testament Jeremiah 1-3; 7; 16-18; 20) Editor's Note: This video message was originally recorded approximately four years ago. Since that time, the Lord God has impressed upon me additional doctrinal understanding concerning Jeremiah 1:5, foreordination, ordination before birth, prophetic commissions, and the office of Prophet to the Nations. Much of this additional doctrinal information is not discussed in this original video in its present detail. The doctrinal expansion provided below reflects truths and understanding received subsequent to the recording of this message and will be examined more fully in future forthcoming video messages devoted to these same Jeremiah passages. "Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations." (Jeremiah 1:5) Jeremiah 1:5 reveals one of the greatest truths found anywhere in the scriptures concerning the eternal nature of prophetic and apostolic ministry. Please see my Facebook pages' video introduction to this video. This channel is limiting the description to only 4,000 characters and I cannot shorten the following introduction in such a way as to be in complete doctrinal harmony without the fuller explanation. https://www.facebook.com/DrDToddHarrison/ I love you all!

The Apostle D. Todd Harrison: The Final Prophet Isaiah Teaching (Chapters. 58–66)

The Apostle D. Todd Harrison: The Final Prophet Isaiah Teaching (Chapters. 58–66) – The Last Old Testament Lesson on the Prophet Isaiah This Year This full‑length teaching from The Apostle D. Todd Harrison concludes this year’s Old Testament study of the Book of Isaiah. In this final installment covering chapters 58 through 66, The Apostle D. Todd Harrison emphasizes the prophetic authority of Isaiah, a direct ancestor of his, and a prophet who was directly called by God Himself. The Prophet Isaiah was not appointed by the Presiding High Priest Hilkiah or by any other institutional religious leader. His calling came directly from God, and not from the institutional hierarchy. In these closing chapters, the Prophet Isaiah delivers some of the most powerful themes in all prophetic scripture: • The true fast that God chooses – justice, mercy, and breaking oppression • The promise of restored Zion and the glory of the New Jerusalem • The revelation of God’s coming salvation for all nations • The unveiling of the new heavens and the new earth • The distinction between true worship and empty ritual • The final judgment against rebellion and the eternal reward for the faithful l• The prophetic vision of God’s Servant bringing righteousness to the world These chapters form the Prophet Isaiah’s final witness: God desires obedience, justice, and holiness, not religious performance. He calls His people to return to Him with sincerity, humility, and truth. This message also prepares the way for next week’s teaching on the prophet Jeremiah. Like Isaiah, Jeremiah was another directly called prophet of God. He also was not appointed by the institutional religious authority of his day, the Presiding High Priest Seraiah. Jeremiah’s calling came directly from the Lord, proving once again—as shown throughout all four standard works of scripture—that God raises His prophets and apostles by direct divine election, while institutional authorities call authorized servants indirectly through inspiration. Next week begins the powerful journey into Jeremiah’s prophetic warnings, and his unwavering obedience to God’s voice. "I testify as a Witness of the Resurrection, that Jesus Christ is our Savior and that He is ALIVE! In the name of Jesus Christ, amen." THE APOSTLE D. TODD HARRISON DIRECT APOSTLE OF JESUS CHRIST Called directly by the Lord Himself as an Apostle through divine revelation and commissioning and not merely by inspiration or spiritual prompting, following His Biblical pattern of calling prophets and apostles as He did with many of the most notable prophets of the Old Testament and as He did in the New Testament with the original Twelve Apostles and with the Apostle Paul, and sending them to all nations (Galatians 1:1; Acts 26:13–20) “Not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead.” — Galatians 1:1 Set apart by the Lord according to the ancient scriptural pattern Following many years of direct apostolic calling and increasing service, now in the Seventh Year of Global Apostolic Ministry Honoring the sacred stewardship of the First Presidency in their inspired callings to the Church, while fulfilling the Lord’s commission as a Directly Called Apostle of Jesus Christ to All Nations Paul — Apostle to the Nations/Gentiles (Galatians 2:7-9; Romans 11:13) John — Apostle to the Nations (D&C 7) The Twelve — Church Stewardship (D&C 107)
