The arrow must leave the bow.
God prepares you before He positions you. David was a mere shephered boy but God prepared him for something greater while he was still tending sheep.
God chose David because he had a heart of integrity.
So often in times of loneliness it can feel like we are walking alone. But God is moving in the darkness.
Culture encourages distance from God and behaviours are being normalised, eg, swearing, gambling.
We are trying to be different - breaking the mould and defying the norms.
Jesus Himself turned over tables in the temple. He 'lovingly' flipped it! He broke down the cultural behaviours.
We are called to do the same.
We are called to be like Christ.
And this takes courage.

Swords and Arrows - Ps Meagan - 17/5/2026
Everybody is being discipled by someone and something; for example, social media, angry people, entertainment, culture.
Who is forming you?
God is still forming his disciples, that is, you and me.
Who am I forming? Who are we discipling?
Isaiah said to make my mouth like a sharpened sword. The arrow was hidden before it was released.
Our mouths need to be sharpened. Sharp swords are effective.
In our world, the swords and arrows are becoming blunt. God wants to sharpen and strengthen His people.
Healthy disciles don't happen by accident.

If Mum can't, God will. Ps Chris. 10/5/2026
Mother's Day 2026.
If Mum can't, God will.
Motehr's can have an overwhelming feeling of responsibility whe we bring new life into the world. We want to raise good citizens.
Often in crisis people pray, even when they don't know God. But every day of our life is known to God and he has ordained it.
People turn to 'something' because we have been created by Him. But we hide because we think He's going to do something to us.
But God will leave the 99 sheep to look for the 1 that is lost. That's you and me.
God says, 'Come as you are.'
