אור ליום ב' פ' נח, ב' דר"ח מרחשון ה'תשמ"ג ל"הנחה פרטית" או התרגום ללה"ק של השיחה: https://thedailysicha.com/?date=11-10-2026 (https://thedailysicha.com/?date=11-10-2026) Synopsis On the verse “These are the generations of Noach, Noach, etc.” (at the beginning of parashas Noach), the Zohar states that Noach comes from the word naicha (tranquility), and the double use of the word Noach represents “tranquility Above and tranquility below.” The lesson is as follows: When a Jew looks around him and sees that “darkness covers the earth, etc.,” and thinks he is not strong enough to contend with the world, etc., he must know that this has already been done in the past: Although Noach was just one person standing against the entire world, nevertheless, by conducting himself as a “perfectly righteous man” he achieved absolute victory in the fullest sense, to the point that he brought about an entirely “new world” with “tranquility Above and tranquility below,” akin to the perfection of the world when Moshiach comes. This is the significance of the name of the parashah of the week: every day and every moment of the week is a day and a moment of parashas Noach – “tranquility.” Excerpt from sichah of Sunday night, parashas Noach, 2nd day of Rosh Chodesh MarCheshvan 5743 For a transcript in English of the Sicha: https://thedailysicha.com/?date=11-10-2026 (https://thedailysicha.com/?date=11-10-2026)

א' השיחות דהתוועדות מוצש"פ בראשית, אור לאדר"ח מרחשון ה'תש"מ ל"הנחה פרטית" או התרגום ללה"ק של השיחה: https://thedailysicha.com/?date=09-10-2026 (https://thedailysicha.com/?date=09-10-2026) Synopsis Torah affects the entire world (as it says, “He looked into the Torah and created the world”) especially when one studies the beginning of the Torah, “In the beginning of G-d’s creation…,” which represents the beginning of all existence. When a Jew connects himself to Torah, he becomes master over the entire world, as also understood from Rashi’s commentary on the word Bereishis – “for the sake of the Torah, which is called Reishis and for the sake of the Jewish people, who are called Reishis”: when a Jew connects himself to “Bereishis” (i..e, to Torah), he too becomes master over the entire world (“The world was created for my sake”) – “the heavens and the earth.” Accordingly, we can better understand the saying of the Rebbeim that the way one establishes himself on Shabbos Parashas Bereishis, that is how the entire year goes. Therefore, this is an appropriate time to undertake good resolutions for the entire year.

‏ב' חלקים משיחת מוצש"פ בראשית ה'תשל"ט ל"הנחה פרטית" או התרגום ללה"ק של השיחה: https://thedailysicha.com/?date=08-10-2026 (https://thedailysicha.com/?date=08-10-2026) Synopsis Rashi states at the beginning of parashas Bereishis: “Rabbi Yitzchak said: The Torah need only have begun with ‘This month shall be for you…’...Why, then, did it begin with “In the beginning”… So that if the nations of the world will say, ‘You are robbers, for you conquered the lands of the seven nations,’ they will say them: ‘The entire earth belongs to the Holy One, blessed be He; He created it...When He wanted He gave it to them, and when He wanted He took it away from them and gave it to us.’” Seemingly, the “five-year-old studying Scripture” could ask: why did Hashem not give Eretz Yisroel to the Jewish people from the outset (in which case there would have been no need to change the order of the Torah)? The answser is as follows: Hasd Hashem given the land to Avraham when “Avraham was one,” or to the seventy souls in Yaakov’s time, the land would have remained a desolate wilderness with “snakes, vipers and serpents” etc. Additionally, it was given first to the nations so that when the Jewish people would enter the land, they would already find “great and good cities that you did not build, and houses full of all good things that you did not fill.” As for why the Jewish people were permitted to keep the homes and everything in them is also understood simply by the five-year-old studying Scripture: the rent that the nations should have paid for all the years they lived in Eretz Yisroel, which belongs to the Jewish people, would have been many times as much. If only this argument were made today as well – a true answer in accordance with Torah.... 2 excerpts from sichah of Motzaei Shabbos parashas Bereishis 5739 For a transcript in English of the Sicha: https://thedailysicha.com/?date=08-10-2026 (https://thedailysicha.com/?date=08-10-2026)
