Welcome to the Degenerative Ag Podcast, where four friends in different fields of agriculture come together to discuss, and mostly complain about the current and past lives of farmers. The booze flows freely, like the Northwest wind.
Between a pretty significant rain delay, and Larson's Plate finally having a baby, we called in a guest we've been wanting to get on since the beginning. Taking Trevor's place for the evening, give a big hand to Chef Boy-R-G.
As a professional chef, and also a brother to the other two brothers on the show, we get a chance to discuss easy cooking ideas for on-the-go farmers, hangover cures, and local cooking competitions.
We also announce the announcement of a podcast cookbook, focusing on cooking in the field, feel free to send in recipes or ideas for the book.

EP 43: Hunting and Agriculture
This week we have the opportunity to bring in a special guest who you may recognize from frequent listener e-mails, Devine! As an avid and active outdoorsman, he may be one of, if not THE most educational guest we've had. Conservation, tag allocation, and habitat as they relate to farming are a central topic. Lot's of good stories and memories accompany.
Another update on Trevor's Bee hole, Andrew is flush with zucchini bread, and Captain Corporate announces his new ballot measure to help hunters.

Episode 40 + 2
This week on the Degenerative Agriculture podcast, the boys celebrate episode 40 a bit late with a game of Edward Forty-Hands and some truly disgusting onion-flavored shooters. The chaos continues as Trevor battles a yellowjacket-infested "Bee hole" with a farm-built powder cannon, and Andrew buys a mystery auction item after an unsuspecting bidding war with his own co-host. We also attempt to solve a local crime involving stolen DeWalt tools because, why not?
Once the dust and booze settle, we get down to brass tacks on crop storage. We cover the gamble of storing grain, the nightmare of finding bugs in your wheat, and one host's costly lesson in holding beans too long. The crew also dives into the surprisingly complex science of potato storage, the art of avoiding a "squishy bottom”, and why you should never, ever make "dishwasher pickles." From farmyard brawls to auction feuds and drunken science, it's a classic episode: messy, honest, and just barely under control—like farming itself.
