[…] So, like, that's a real drop in XG and shots per match from corners. The other thing that's happening is corners are down. There have been fewer corners... this season than in any of the last seven seasons. So I do wonder if there's been a little bit of a change in defensive teams being more worried about conceding corners and that this could be part of the effect. But the biggest thing, the thing that visually I see and that is matched up by the numbers is that Corner kicks taken to the six-yard box are flat from last season. This was an extreme effect last season, started the season before, started with Arsenal the season before that, that teams started taking all of their corners as in-swingers, started taking them to the six-yard box, started taking them to the center of the six-yard box.
