The Foxbody Den Show Episode #28 - We Hated These Foxbody Mods… Now We Want Them Back

The Foxbody mods everyone used to hate are suddenly cool again. In this episode of The Foxbody Den Show, John Kolbaska, Joseph, and Nick debate the Foxbody Mustang parts, styling trends, and 90s modifications making a comeback—from cheese-grater taillights, four-eye Mustangs, pony wheels, turbines, and 10-holes to underglow, GTS headlight covers, cowl hoods, and Flowmasters. Why are enthusiasts chasing the exact parts they threw away 20 years ago? And which old-school Foxbody trends are coming back next? If you’re into Foxbody Mustangs, 5.0 Mustangs, period-correct builds, Mustang GTs, LX Mustangs, four-eye Foxbodies, 90s car culture, and classic Mustang modifications, this episode is for you. 🔥 Subscribe to The Foxbody Den Show for weekly Foxbody builds, Mustang discussions, events, and community stories. The Foxbody Den Show Episode #27 - Foxtoberfest 2026: The Best Part Might NOT Be Saturday

Foxtoberfest is only 15 days away—and the last-minute scramble has officially begun. In this episode of The Foxbody Den Show, John Kolbaska, Lee CCWFOX, and Ray from the San Antonio Fox Forum break down everything happening as the countdown to Foxtoberfest gets real. Who’s actually making the trip? Which cars are still apart? What still needs to get finished? And which builds are about to make their first big appearance? The guys go through their own last-minute prep and spotlight some of the cars coming in from New York, Texas, and beyond. From rare Roush setups and patina builds to Coyote swaps, superchargers, custom interiors, wild wheel combinations, and one-of-one details, this year’s lineup is shaping up to be one of the strongest yet. And the Foxbody Den tent is going to be PACKED.If everything comes together, we’re expecting around 16–17 cars representing different styles, personalities, and approaches to building a Foxbody. Some are polished high-end builds, some are drivers, and some are cars you need to see in person to appreciate the details. We also talk about the builders, fabricators, and shops behind these cars, the stress of finishing projects against a deadline, long-distance road trips, and why every Foxbody owner somehow convinces themselves there’s still plenty of time… until there isn’t. This episode is all about the part of Foxtoberfest most people don’t see—the garage nights, parts orders, last-minute fixes, detailing, loading trailers, and hoping the car actually makes it there. But once everyone arrives, none of that matters. It becomes about the cars, the stories, the friendships, and spending a week surrounded by people who are just as obsessed with these old Mustangs as we are. If you’re heading to Foxtoberfest, make sure you come by the Foxbody Den tent, introduce yourself, check out the cars, and tell us the story behind your build. 🔥 Subscribe to The Foxbody Den Show for Foxbody Mustang builds, owner stories, event coverage, special guests, and everything happening inside the community. Foxtoberfest roll call: Are you going this year? What are you bringing—and what STILL needs to get done before you leave? Drop it in the comments.

The Foxbody Den Show Episode #26-C - Joe Cruz: From an ’86 LX to a Garage Full of Cobras

93 Cobras, gold wheels, insane car hunts, late-night road trips, and a Foxbody crew that became family—this is the story of Joe Cruz. In this episode of The Foxbody Den Show, John Kolbaska and Ryan Jugdeo sit down with Joe Cruz to talk about the cars, friendships, music, and experiences that have made him one of the most recognizable personalities in the New York Foxbody scene. Joe’s story goes all the way back to his first 1986 Mustang LX in the late ’90s. What started with backyard modifications eventually turned into years of buying, selling, trading, modifying, and hunting down some seriously desirable Mustangs—including multiple 1993 Cobras, a black-on-black Cobra, a Teal Cobra, a Mystic Cobra, and plenty of other cars along the way. And Joe has stories behind almost every one of them. We get into the cross-state car hunts, deals that almost didn’t happen, stolen-recovery title drama, cars he wishes he kept, and why he’s always been attracted to clean Mustangs that have the right combination of stance, wheels, sound, and presence rather than simply chasing the biggest horsepower number. Joe also shares the story behind the gold wheels that became part of his signature style and his history building serious audio systems—including award-winning setups in his Mustangs and Impala. Then there’s The Four Horsemen. Joe talks about how a group of friends with the same obsession became a traveling Foxbody crew—hitting events, putting miles on the cars, helping each other when things went wrong, and creating the kind of memories that eventually become more important than the cars themselves. The guys also dive into how Foxbody styling has changed over the years. Huge hoods, body kits, and heavily modified looks have slowly given way to cleaner OEM+ builds, larger wheels, better stance, subtle details, and cars that look modified without losing what made them a Foxbody in the first place. We also talk Foxtoberfest, why Joe refuses to miss it, the growing value and popularity of 1993 Cobras and Mystichrome Cobras, and what’s happening right now in the Foxbody Mustang community. But underneath all the car talk, this episode is really about the people. The friends who drive hundreds of miles together. The guy who helps when your car breaks. The late nights in the garage. The road trips. The ridiculous stories. And how an obsession with old Mustangs can turn strangers into lifelong friends. If you're into Foxbody Mustangs, 1993 Cobras, SVT Cobras, Mystichrome Cobras, Mustang builds, car audio, OEM+ builds, Foxtoberfest, or old-school New York car culture, you’re going to enjoy this one. 🔥 Subscribe to The Foxbody Den Show for weekly Foxbody Mustang conversations, owner stories, incredible builds, event coverage, special guests, and the people behind the cars. What’s ONE Foxbody or Mustang you sold that you’d buy back immediately if you had the chance? Tell us the car—and what you sold it for—in the comments.
