80: Beating the Market, The 90/10 Portfolio & The Psychology of Investing with Ramin Nakisa (PensionCraft)
In today’s episode I sit down and have a chat with Ramin Nakisa, founder of PensionCraft and one of the YouTube channels I learnt the most from when I first started my own money journey.
After years working in investment banking, Ramin realised most fund managers simply can’t beat the market.
We talk about his core and fun portfolio, whether we’re in an AI bubble, and why money won’t make you happy on its own. This was a real full-circle moment for me!

79: Generation Rent, Affordability & The Future of Renting with Nye Jones
In today’s episode I sit down and have a chat with Nye Jones, Head of Campaigns at Generation Rent, a campaign group that has been fighting for more rights and protections for private renters across the UK since 2014.
We talk about what the Renters’ Rights Act has changed, how to challenge a rent increase you feel is unfair, and the debate around rent controls. I loved how open Nye was to discussing both sides, and it has definitely given me a lot to think about!

78: Libertarianism, the Housing Crisis & the American dream with Reem Ibrahim
In today's episode, Brian sits down with Reem Ibrahim, a libertarian writer and commentator and one of the UK's youngest and sharpest free-market voices. She regularly appears on television and radio, including GB News, LBC and the BBC. Reem went from Corbyn-supporting teenager to three years at the Institute of Economic Affairs, Britain's original free-market think tank, before moving to Washington DC earlier this year to write and make videos for Reason.
They get into what libertarianism actually means, why Reem would privatise the NHS, what's really driving the housing crisis, from planning laws and NIMBYism to stamp duty and rent controls, and what the UK could learn from America's attitude to money and ambition.
