So it came very naturally to that kind of religious mode of thinking. The Orange Order was founded in opposition to that. It was founded as an anti-Catholic fraternity, but not as much to get at Catholics as to stop Protestants being Republicans. Because they were fraternitizing with the enemy. Well, yes.
