Britt Scott Clark (VLDL, Doctor Doctor) has gone and got stranded on a deserted island. In a bizarre but fortunate turn of events, Britt is frequently visited by local actors and comedians who keep her company for 30-40 minute periods. Featuring survival tips, Betty the haunted doll, and everybody's favourite segment 'What's That In The Sand?', The Island is your new salty, sandy, podcast fave.

Could this be Britt's last day on the island? An epic storm's a-brewing and if she doesn't find rescue soon, it'll be all over for Britt and Betty. Like a bad omen sent from the pits of Fyre Festival 2.0, VLDL's very own Adam King washes up with the flotsam this week and chats all things Viva, filmmaking and (checks notes) Anne Geddes portraiture.

The Island Presents: Ella Hope-Higginson
With the sand-to-body ratio of an hourglass and skin resembling a sundried tomato, the brave Britt Clark waits patiently for rescue from The Island. The Island Presents: Ellie Harwood

The Island Presents: Ariāna Osborne
Maybe the heat’s getting to Britt, maybe it was the unidentified shellfish she ate, or maybe it’s not a cruel mirage at all - actual angel actress Ariāna Osborne joins our castawayed host on The Island this week to chat about her experience on the set of award-winning film Mārama and give Britt a lesson on the importance of crafting.

The Island Presents: Janaye Henry
The Island is fully haunted now and sweet Britt reckons "rescue is imminent". To distract from her naive hopefulness, Britt is joined on shore by brilliant actor and comedian Janaye Henry. Freshly yeeted off the back of a banana boat, Janaye settles in to reflect on her Celebrity Treasure Island adventures and her year of teaching sex education.

The Island Presents: Hamish Parkinson
It's day two... or maybe day three on The Island. With a beard fit for a castaway and a belly full of RTDs, the one and only Hamish Parkinson washes ashore to keep Britt company. Tune in for the storied showbiz history of Hamish, unhinged puppetry, and a highly unrecommended urine-to-drinkable water instructional. We do not endorse this message.
