[…] So there seems to be downsides to the tariffs, but there also seems to be, I think, a need to bring some of the manufacturing back. Can anybody dispute that tariffs have led to at least part of the rise of inflation? I wouldn't dispute that. So one of the reasons Trump is getting low marks now is Bill Clinton's famous 1992 statement as the economy is stupid. Like his first administration, he seemed to handle the economy very well. At the moment, he's getting very low grades on the economy. And some of that is the effect, finally, of tariffs increasing. And the studies I've shown have shown that the amount or number of manufacturing jobs in America, you can say they increase here and here and here, but they've not increased overall. […]
