[…] It's been going a long time now, more than four years. So where are things at? Yeah, well, the Ukrainians do have the advantage of momentum behind them at the moment. The overall picture is that the Russians' total casualties, killed and wounded, is estimated at 1.4 million men. The Ukrainians, about half a million men. One big change in the dynamic, a really startling change, is that the best expert estimates are that for almost all of the war until this year, there's been two or three Russian casualties for every one Ukrainian. In the first half of this year, according to the CSIS, Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, D.C., that ratio has now increased to eight to one. […]
