**Christa Pike UPDATE: She Survived Her Execution — What Happened Inside the Death Chamber?**

Christa Pike was supposed to die on September 30, 2026. She survived. In this breaking update from Murder Syrup, we look at the extraordinary developments surrounding the attempted execution of Christa Pike, the Tennessee woman sentenced to death for the 1995 murder of 19-year-old Colleen Slemmer. Pike was scheduled to become the first woman executed by Tennessee in more than 200 years. After last-minute legal challenges, the execution proceeded using the lethal-injection drug pentobarbital. But it did not go as planned. According to reports and court filings, Pike remained alive after two doses of the execution drug were administered. Witnesses reported that she continued breathing and could be heard snoring. She was eventually removed from the prison and transported to a hospital. As of October 1, Pike's attorneys say she remains alive, in critical condition and receiving life-saving medical treatment. Tennessee Governor Bill Lee has now halted the state's remaining executions for 2026 and ordered a comprehensive third-party review into what happened. In this episode, we revisit the murder of Colleen Slemmer, Pike's conviction and death sentence, the last-minute fight over her execution, what witnesses reported from inside the execution chamber, and the questions surrounding what happens next. This is a developing story. Mason Jenkins Escaped Collins Bay Kingston Ontario September 24 2026

time of upload September 26 2026 Mason Jenkins, 49, did not show up for an 11:15 a.m. count at his minimum-security unit at Collins Bay Institution on Thursday (September 24). He has been serving a life sentence for first-degree murder and possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking, and a warrant for his arrest has been issued. Correctional Service Canada says he was convicted in the 1998 murder of his sister in Chatham, and Chatham-Kent police have taken precautionary measures given his connections to that area. The most recent reports I found, from yesterday, still describe an active search, with no word yet of an arrest. PLEASE CONTACT POLICE IF YOU SEE HIM: Police describe him as 5'9", about 255 pounds, with a fair complexion, brown eyes and a shaved head, last seen in jeans, a light green jacket and rubber boots. Anyone who sees him should not approach and should call 911 immediately. Tips can also go to Kingston Police at 613-549-4660, ext. 0 Life With Murder follows his family after the killing. In 1998 Jennifer Jenkins was shot four times by her brother Mason, and their parents, Leslie and Brian Jenkins, decided to keep supporting their imprisoned son and were ostracized by their community as a result. Episode 3: The Interrogation Continues — Sarah Boone's Story Unravels The detectives have seen the videos. Sarah Boone knows they've seen them. Sarah Boone Interrogation: Detectives Reveal the Suitcase Videos | Episode 2 Part 1

Episode 2: The Interrogation — Sarah Boone Confronted With the Videos Sarah Boone walked into the police station believing she was there to answer more questions about the death of her boyfriend, Jorge Torres Jr. But investigators knew something Sarah didn't. They had her phone. And they had watched the videos. In Episode 2 of Murder Syrup: The Sarah Boone Case, we break down Sarah's police interrogation as detectives confront her with evidence that dramatically challenges the story she gave them at the scene. Sarah had described Jorge's death as a horrible accident—the result of drinking, playing hide-and-seek, putting Jorge into a suitcase, and then falling asleep upstairs. But the videos recovered from her cellphone captured something very different. Jorge could be heard telling Sarah he couldn't breathe. And Sarah could be heard responding. We follow the interrogation from the beginning, examining Sarah's answers, the detectives' questioning techniques, the contradictions they focus on, and the moment Sarah realizes investigators have seen what was recorded on her phone. How does her explanation change when she's confronted with evidence she cannot simply explain away? And what happens when detectives stop asking Sarah what happened—and start showing her what they already know? This is Episode 2: The Interrogation.

Sarah Boone: The 911 Call & First Police Interview | The Suitcase Murder Ep. 1.

Episode 1: The Suitcase — The 911 Call On February 24, 2020, Sarah Boone called 911 from her Florida home with a startling statement: her boyfriend, Jorge Torres Jr., was dead. Sarah told the dispatcher that the night before, she and Jorge had been drinking and playing hide-and-seek when Jorge climbed into a suitcase. According to Sarah, she zipped him inside, went upstairs, fell asleep—and didn't realize he was still there until the following day. But when police arrived and began speaking with Sarah at the scene, questions quickly emerged. In Episode 1 of Murder Syrup: The Sarah Boone Case, we listen to and break down Sarah's 911 call and her first on-scene interview with police, before detectives had discovered what was waiting on her cellphone. We'll examine Sarah's original version of events, her timeline of the night, the details she volunteered, the questions officers asked, and the moments that would become far more significant once investigators uncovered the videos recorded hours before Jorge's death. At this point, Sarah doesn't know what investigators are going to find. And the police don't yet know what they're about to see. This is where the Sarah Boone case begins. #SarahBoone #TrueCrime #MurderSyrup
