[…] This is the fifth month of the fiscal year. An 18.3 billion deficit delivered. The Office for Budget Responsibility had forecast 14.8 billion. It's largely been driven by higher government spending rather than soft receipts. And spending is 2.3 billion ahead of what the OBR had forecast. So after five months of the fiscal year, The deficit is 8.1 billion higher than was forecast in March. And for the full fiscal year, the OBR had forecast a deficit of 115 billion. Capital economics this morning were saying it's going to come in at least 125 billion. That would be almost 4% of UK GDP.
