[…] Predictably, children are going to die. Predictably, you're not going to intervene when you should. So you want to remove any sense of that barrier. Does that cost more money? Not really. Where is money spent? Where do we have excess expenditures in our healthcare system? Two places. One, the prices are too high, especially in hospitals. If you compare them internationally, we're more than 50% above the mean in perfectly adequate places like Sweden or Germany. So prices are too high. And the other is fighting over money, administrative costs. Unbelievable. It's 25% for us. It's under 5% elsewhere. […]
