And I hope it will help them to support victims rather than abusive pastors. She also worked as his assistant. So he's her boss. Boss and pastor, 15 years older, that any sexual conduct between those two people is not an affair. It's adult clergy sexual abuse. And yet, repeatedly throughout this documentary, everybody refers to it as an affair. And this shows how little the church understands adult clergy sexual abuse. When you have a clergy member with that much of a power differential with someone, the person under that pastor cannot really give consent. […]
