87 - Dave Morris - FIS Coach, Podium Ski, BASI Trainer
Welcome to episode 87 of The Ski Instructor Podcast, this week featuring Dave Morris.Dave was on my original scrappy bit of paper list of people I wanted to speak to and it's taken us this long to get it together to finally sit down and talk - and I'm so glad that we actually did.We had great chat talking about subjects like how to find the gains that make FIS athletes better, why the Eurotest and what you learn about yourself when you go through that process, as well as what makes for good skiing and chasing FIS points. This was a great chat and I am grateful to have had the chance to share in Dave's vast knowledge. You can find Dave here:www.podiumski.com

86 - Joe Beer 2 - Life after skiing
Welcome to episode 86 of The Ski Instructor Podcast after a summer break and a long hot summer here in Switzerland. This week, I revise my early episode chat with Joe Beer who left the ski teaching world around covid and Brexit time to return to the UK to pursue life in the music world. How was always playing music whilst he was skiing but we talk about the freedom of skiing and how he thinks skiing has changed in recent times, a serious eye injury that lost the sight in one of his eyes, how to make a living in the music industry and teaching skiing vs teaching music. This is a podcast I've wanted to make for a long time and I have a couple of other 'life afters' which I want to do which I think make for interesting stories.Happy listeningDavehttps://www.snow-pros.ski/level-1-ski-instructor-coursemusic by www.bensound.com
