[…] And I will just say, for anyone who owns a home or knows things about the housing market. Insurance costs are one of the fastest growing costs for landlords and building operators. And outside of insurance costs, building operators and landlords have not seen their management and operating costs go up a ton over this time period. It's really the insurance costs that have been the driver of the increased cost. So this policy of the Mamdani administration is directly intended to address that growing cost and bring down costs which should help both the existing affordable housing owners and new development.
