[…] But like you said, one of the elements of the church was that it, in theory, obviously we know it didn't always follow that, but in theory it wasn't supposed to wield temporal power. Like it was supposed to be a vehicle of influence. Now, when we move towards globalization and we want to, in some ways, escape the nation into some kind of global order, we don't realize that those types of orders, they have the capacity to enforce with violence on us. And so to yield the nation, like to basically say, well, we don't need the nation anymore. We just need some international order is to move that violence also to levels that no one has ever seen in the history of the world where you will have systems of control and violence, anonymous systems of control and violence that no one has seen before.
