So diesel prices, which Michael has been reporting a lot on, here's another aspect to the story. It's putting a huge strain on school districts, which largely use diesel to fill up school buses. And it's particularly a problem in these large rural districts where school buses travel thousands of miles every single day. So take one example. Amherst County last December spent $37,000 on diesel. This August, it spent $78,000. That's more than a $40,000 difference for a month. […]
