[…] But it's also, I think, aside from the geopolitical implications, there are like lots of elements where Canada and the EU want to be working closer together in a way that I think will transcend individual governments. And even if Carney's government is succeeded by one that is more conservative or less EU leaning, I do think the benefits of that deal on both sides will probably be able to withstand that. I mean, from the EU's perspective, obviously, Canada is a large, very developed, progressive democracy and, you know, culturally close to the EU as well. But also economically, the EU doesn't have a lot of natural resources. […]
