[…] And at night, you had to go and get your GED, and when you finished the program, they placed you in a shop. I loved the program. I loved working on cars in that context. I hated working in an auto shop the second I got placed into one. Like I knew immediately I do not fit in here. These are not my people. So that was like that deciding moment, you know. But there was recording studios in Gainesville and there was record labels in Gainesville. So you could kind of see the path and there were a couple other bands that were doing it.
