About Theater/Arts Management Education Series Podcast
The mission of the Asheville Theater Alliance is to unite, promote, strengthen, cultivate, and celebrate the performing arts in Western North Carolina. We advocate for the local theater community by developing innovative, collaborative, and engaging services and programs for member theaters and their diverse audiences. Asheville Theater Alliance promotes the arts to ensure a safe, vibrant, and economically healthy theater community in and around Asheville. As part of our initiatives, each Thursday at noon we will air a new podcast featuring an Alliance member and/or arts organization representative to talk about their careers, openings, events and more.
What an interesting conversation we had with Actor and Improviser Stevie Ramirez. Find out how they got into improv and acting, insight into how one performs improv, tips on succeeding as an improv team, and their upcoming role in the inaugural and immersive production "Close Quarters" at the Phantom Lamp Theatre Company - a production that blends theater and improv. Also, get all the information on Joyride Improv, upcoming workshops, how to sign up, benefits of learning and practicing improv, and details about the May 2026 Asheville Improv Festival, including how to participate.
